Today, American serial killers rarely get past three or four victims before they are caught.
Law enforcement cooperation, public awareness, the Internet, a shared criminal database, surveillance cameras, electronic transactions, cell phones, DNA, etc.....
A repeat violent criminal needs a lot of luck to stay out of jail these days.

Typical, and I don't know if it's a sad commentary on FR, society, or both.
Actually, the fact that the murder and rape rate has DECLINED rapidly at the exact same time as:
1) Easy availability of internet porn has exploded
2) Introduction rapidly increasing popularity of violent video games
3) Popularity of Gangsta Rap, Death Metal, etc. has increased
Is an awfully inconvenient embarrassment for a lot of people for axes to grind, from across the political spectrum.
Not saying that Hefner is a model citizen living a model lifestyle, but somehow he seems to have avoided violent crime, and how much porn has he looked at anyway?
Accepting Ted Bundy’s excuses for his murders just makes the people accepting the excuses look like dingbats of the first order.
Alternative hypothesis: Ted was bored on death row, so he came up with various attention-getting cons, this being one of them. Give the marks what they want.
Ted Bundy ate food, therefore eating is a gateway to violent murders.
I can understand that. I was just trying to show people what “illegal porn” leads to. The porn that Rick said he wanted laws enforced on.
I was on a different thread and we would discussing the “illegal porn” that Rick want the laws enforced; there is a difference from this and legal porn. Rick does not want to add any new porn laws. I told someone I would post the difference.
I don’t think Bundy is talking about run of the mill porn here.

Bundy was born in 1946. He claims to have gotten into Grandpa's porn collection.
In the 1950's, with no Internet, chat rooms, P2P networking, etc, the US postal service was the only way Grandpa would have been able to get his porn. And the postal service was watching for stuff like child porn and other bizarre stuff. So how would Bundy have been able to get his grubby little hands on non-run of the mill porn.
He couldn't. Th whole porn thing was a smoke screen. Bundy, and other killers like him, want attention. What got him attention - "Oh, porn made me do it."
Normal men don't want to look at porn??
Then they aren't normal men.
Whether they look or not is an individual decision but God instilled in all of us sexual desire. Without, the human race would die out.
Bundy's sin wasn't looking at porn, it was rape, torture mutilation, necrophilia - the really gross stuff he did never came out. I've talked to a couple of former FBI agents about Bundy. He wasn't human, he was rabid dog in human form that needed to be put down for the good of humanity
Unholy monsters like Ted Bundy deserve a bullet through the skull, and not one thing more.
I forgot to mention something else. All the years he was in prison he never gave an interview. This is the only one, 17 hours before he was executed. ABC, CBS, NBC, national and worldwide media asked for an interview throughout the years, but he refused; and he gave it to Dr. Dobson.(Focus on the Family) who never asked for an interview. Dobson said Bundy did not trust the media to tell the story about how terrible illegal porn is and what it can lead to. Dobson agreed to share the interview with all media, provided they give the whole interview, because the point of the interview was the effect of this kind of porn (illegal) on people. After they agreed to only print the whole interview; they lied. They selected the sensational exerts and did not mention the reason for the interview; the effects of violent porn on people. The media never changes.
There is a strong link between Hitler and the Volkswagen. I'm resisting an urge to send a SWAT team to your house.
Then again, is that rust or blood next to the handle on the trunk of that VW?

Bundy was a manipulator and a liar. He was evil personified. This interview is not a window into his soul. It’s simply another deception from a psychopath. I cannot imagine why it would hold anyone’s attention after all of these years.
The monster is dead. Leave him to rot.

The arrest rate for murder in general is hovering around 62% - that means almost 40% of the time, no one gets arrested for the crime. That's not even looking at what happens when the case gets into the court system.
Despite what you see on TV, stranger murders are extremely rare and often, with no connection, no one gets arrested.
Bundy was a lying, manipulating sociopath, during this interview, and to the final jolt.
This interview was given 17 hours before he was executed. Over the years all the media asked for an interview but he would never give one. Dr. Dobson never asked for his interview. This might have been a last ditch effort to do one thing right. Warn people about the effects of “illegal porn” on people, especially kids. He came from a good home, but when he found this porn, that his parent did not know he had, it started his path down hell.
You can try to hid stuff from kids, but as much as a parent tries, sometimes they get it anyway.

If this a ploy God knows it and will judge him the way he deserves to be judged. He knows the heart of everyone, even if they don't speak a word.
God will make sure justice is done.
Yeah, fine, but he needs to stop talking about it. The social issues need to take a back burner. The Republic is being dismantled brick by brick, our economy’s being willfully destroyed, and Rick is in the backroom talking about porn....
C’mon, we need leaders focused on the real tasks at hand....
