I got this idea on a thread about Santorum's recent comments about Romney vs. Obama and the posters there had me rolling with what/who they would vote for over Obama so let's give this a whirl.....
Do you think we will fare any better under Romney? If you think he will reverse Obama policies, such as Death Care, think again.
I’m tired of settling for whatever candidate the party forces on us. I did that in 2008 with McCain. Not doing that again.
Maybe it would be wasting my vote to write in my cat. But I think if enough people reject the pre-ordained candidate, this might destroy the rat infested Republican party. Then we can set about creating a new truly conservative party, one with candidates who reflect our values and beliefs.
Of course, if Obama is re-elected, he will become dictator, and the Republican parry will be abolished anyway. In that event, the party will only have itself to blame for its own demise.
IMO, you deserve some kind of FreeRepublic award for that post. I’m serious. Good, no, GREAT job!
The issue about Romney specifically is that he has no integrity. Now if I vote for him, I don’t have any either.
The idea that the nominee can say anything to get the nomination and we will all hold our noses and bless the GOP for giving us an alternative to whatever the idiot democrats are doing is ludicrous.
The GOP is the same as the idiot democrat party, they just coach it in different language. If we all keep falling in step - it will just be like was said about the etch a sketch. Say or do anything and you can get away with it. I have more honor than that, and if I can’t be true in the privacy of the voting booth - how do I have the character to make a difference when life and death matter?

Yes. These folks who say they will sit out because “their” candidate did not get
nominated, or who pick on one issue they feel any other candidate tripped up on and so will withhold the “purity” of their vote, had better understand that if Obama is re-elected they won’t just be seeing him for four more years (bad as that might seem). Given the likelihood that the next president will nominate at least two to the Supreme Court (Sotomayor, Kagan anyone?)
they will be staring at Obama for a looooong time.

Great rant. You reflect my sentiments exactly. And why I bought my current farm in central Kentucky two weeks before the 2008 election and moved here permanently from my 45 year home of Seattle.
I’m a prepper. It’s foolish not to be. One would have to be willfully blinded to not see where this is headed.
I'm afraid we may have to bite the bullet this time, and clean it up next time.

BO does not equal Romney. People forget that the bar has been lowered in the Obama administration. Integrity? Adherence to the Constitution? 4 million dollar vacations, separate planes for Michelle and the dog? Get the message? Obama doesn’t care one iota about anything but his Marxist protocols. We don’t know who this pretender in the White House is, do we? Elect this freakshow for another term and war will be on our shores. I would like to read a few posts about how we will all work together to rid the WH of the former Muslim occupant. We all know and have read that Obama was raised a Muslim in Indonesia. Now some of you please tell me what makes him a better alternatinve to Romney?
