Completely blind in both eyes, Fiona was found covered in filth with her fur matted and flea infested cowering in the corner of a trash dump.
The tiny terrified dog had frozen and urinated in fear as she was approached by Eldad and Audrey Hagar.
Unknown to the traumatized animal the married couple had come to her rescue. They captured her tragic story and amazing transformation in a heart-wrenching video.
The Hagars had scooped up the white dog who was still so frightened she urinated again, and again when they took her to the car...

Tissue alert. Grab the whole box, you’ll need it. Such a happy ending for this sweet girl. God bless the people who rescued her and the couple who adopted her.
Now if we could just get some children rescued from crackhead moms and abusive dads.
You are so right! What a tearjerker! Beautifull little girl.Beautifull story.
Great story with a happy ending!
My screen is so blurry! What a beautiful dog! Thanks for posting!
Aw, poor little dog! I’m so glad she was rescued by people who are able to love and care for her.
Just because FReepers are happy to see a dog rescued does not mean they are oblivious to abused children.
It just means we like a thread that contains some GOOD NEWS once in a while, OK??
Rally great story and it makes my heart happy :)

Nice story about this pooch being rescued! AND regaining partial sight!!
;)
I hate people who dumped her. How cruel are they? They should be in jail.
Thanks Joe, I love the heartwarming stories and just about cry over the bad ones. I’m happy for that darling dog.
In my city there have been 4 PitBull attacks in the past week and a half. #1. One man was walking down the street and had to jump on a car. #2. A woman picked up her dog and ran and two dogs were clawing at her back - neighbors rescued her. #3. A child visited a home she had been in many times, the dog knew her but bit her on entry. Police came in all instances and 3 dogs were shot because they were trying to attact the Police.
Today, the news said that 5 PitBulls attacked and killed a 4 year old girl............I can’t imagine what our newspaper will show in the morning! I don’t know the solution to this as once banning starts it would progress.
Hi BG! Hows your doin? lol
That rescuing couple laid out some big bucks to get the poor dog’s sight back. Those lens and their implantation cost about $1,500 an eye.
Wonderful people, they are.
Aw, poor little sweetheart. Bless her.
Rescues find dogs being dumped all the time, this post is a very bad case. Glad she found a great home.
This one was found at a landfill and is still traumatized after several weeks: http://www.gsroc.org/available_dogs_detail.asp?ID=2285
Found wandering in a park by herself: http://www.gsroc.org/available_dogs_detail.asp?ID=2108
Found along a railroad track (hence her name): http://www.gsroc.org/available_dogs_detail.asp?ID=2274
Found wandering in a remote part of Long Beach CA and saved by a police officer: http://www.gsroc.org/available_dogs_detail.asp?ID=2104
Don’t you love that final pic of her with her new owners? She just looks so sweet and relieved. It’s a doggie Cinderella story!
