CNN ^

The GOP needs a Tea Party candidate -- either Sarah Palin or someone very like her. Alas, it's going to have to wait until 2016 to get its rogue.

There are several small third parties that if they would get together and draft Palin I think she would beat Obama and Romney in the general.
That would take a concerted effort on our part, our meaning the tea party and all conservatives, objecting to the eligibility of both Romney and Obama and ferreting out the Democrat voting fraud machines. Go to your voting registrar and ask for a list of all those addresses with five or more voters, then go and face to face with each voter, if no face to face possible ,file charges of false registrations.
In 1968 there was no question that each and every citizen had standing to demand proof of eligibility of a candidate.

Mama Grizzly decided she did not want their fight. I still suspect that they are going to get her fight and they are no where near ready to handle that fight.

The two wings of the Government Party offer you the choice of a disorganized and self indulgent megalomaniac leftwing progressive Obama, or the focused and self disciplined megalomaniac leftwing progressive Romney. The organized one -will- accomplish more harm if elected.

I wonder if that is possible? The part about the tea party and all conservatives coming together. It appears that Conservatives, and this is a generalization, tend to be very dogmatic. If a candidate is not 'perfect' then he is not the one.

He can be pro-business, national defense, small-government, fiscal discipline, has a solid approval from the NRA, has a good idea on energy, etc ...but (to use an example) if he doesn't rant against gay marriage publicly (even if he is against it) he is 'wrong.' There are all sorts of permutations here ...for instance say someone is a social conservative as well as a fiscal conservative, but say he divorced his wife 3 decades ago ...he is wrong. Or say he has a working plan for the re-emergence of American business and industry, but he is Catholic/Jewish/Baptist ...wrong. Or he has a good working plan for America's continued sway over geo-politics and a strong approach towards national defense ...but he smokes cigarettes ....wrong. Or the person is the second-coming of Reagan and would bring a renaissance in America, but the candidate believes in evolution ...goodness, a section of Conservatives just wrote him off.

Anyways, those are (I admit) weak examples, but I hope they show a problem. Conservatives are too dogmatic, and are willing to throw out an entire candidate for an area that is not 'good.' For instance, look at all the other candidates (apart from Romney, Paul and Huntsman who have REAL issues): there is no way Cain, Bachmann, Santorum, Gingrich or Perry would have been acceptable to a certain segment of Conservatives that demand the 'perfect' candidate. Some of those 'imperfections' are arguable, others are straight silly.

I highly doubt there is any candidate Conservatives can come together and support. Even if Reagan came back to life I am sure some people would find a lot of faults with him that are 'unelectable.' Unfortunately moderates and liberals do not have this problem, which is why Romney will win the GOP nomination, and why Obama has a chance for re-election.

Standards are good and highly important. But dogma is not the same as standards. Reminds me of Pharisees admonishing Christ for healing a person on the Sabbath.

Don't worry -- this is just the Enemedia gloating and torturing conservatives while laughing evilly, even as their pens drip crocodile tears spiked with cyanide.

Keep on hoping for that open convention, and watch these guys' sphincters spazz shut with a thunderous slam heard from one end of the solar system to the other.

And yeah, that's allowing for space being a vacuum.

;)

As for Romney, I know exactly what he is..... but we've got to get that thing out of the White House...whoever the Republican candidate is. Personally, I want Newt, but ain't gonna get him.

Then boom up Newt and campaign for him, for God's sake, instead of running around pulling your hair out and crying OMG, we gotta vote for Willard the Dullard!

This is the season to vote for your guy. Screw Willard, let him walk to the convention on his own! (OK, so he'll be riding in an air-conditioned bus paid for by K Street, but never mind that.)

I really appreciate your "Willard the Wonder" tableaux that you insert to remind us from time to time ......

You offer us wonderful reminders of how abysmal is what we are struggling against as the RiNOcracy tries to smother us and present their cuckoo-hatchling, their changeling substitute, as the People's Choice at the convention.

She never said or implied she was. She said it's WeThePeople! Haven't you been listening these past years? I never said she said or implied it.

People who say we're lost without her say it loud and clear. No one person is that important. No one. To say that there is one person who can fix things elevates that person beyond their abilities and directly implies that it isn't "We The People".

DUH! We have been saying that for YEARS! The GOP has been infiltrated with the liberal mindset and proof of that - they support Mitt! And before that....and before that......

I don't know what I said to warrant sarcasm, but it clearly isn't obvious to far too many. Every day, I see people right here on FR calling for this, that or the other government intervention.

It somehow isn't "big government" when they're dumping money on problems that are the pets of the people begging for taxpayer dollars. So "we" may have been saying it out of one corner of "our" mouth, but far, far far too many plead for government largess with the other corner. It has to stop. We have to hold each other and the government accountable. Before another politician takes another meaningless election year pledge, we should pledge to abandon support for these big government weasels, come what may.

I assure you, this is not a message that has gotten through and through. It is far from having sunk in. Take a good long look around, wherever you see conservatives having conversations. A HUGE block of people who call themselves conservatives believe that as long as the program is for a cause they support, it's A-OK.

And TRA$H any conservative who dare oppose them with the help of the media and paid entertainers.

I disagree here. We've been plenty nasty enough. It just doesn't work to turn anyone to our side. We need votes. We need minds. Not sure what to do next. An economic boycott, maybe? One by one, walking door to door in lefty GOP districts to convince voters to change their support? Not sure.

All the nastiness in the world isn't getting us anywhere. The "if it feels good, do it" vibe infects all parts of the political spectrum. It does feel good to rant. It buys us very little. Less ranting. Less relying on a "magic" politician to solve our every problem. More personal action. More holding the individual responsible.

How can we hold politicians responsible if we won't take each other to task (civilly) and hold each other responsible?

-"There is not a thing wrong with that."

No. There's nothing wrong with that. Anyone can choose not to run. She just came off as not wanting to 'take the heat' of a campaign, when 4 months later (Feb) saying she would be 'open' to a being drafted at the convention. Hey, she would be my favorite candidate. But, apparently to some people, she is totally above critique. She's human, not some god.

Sarah/West would clean house on both Romney and . People are tired of the established parties. This country needs clean slate, a party that doesn’t have the  , who makes back room deals. People are tired of being controlled. It’s time for us to go back to whats important for the future, back to the constitution and the foundations this country was built on.

agreed just imagine Sarah and Col Allen West running.

The base of the party would be loving it, the left could never ever say the right hates women or blacks if we had that ticket, the state of FL would come to our side which we need but more importantly they are not the establishment, they are the average person who can connect with us .
Romney has no clue how we live, how we shop, how we have to go without even at the store for food.

Yes I want Sarah and West to come in and save us form this mess the establishment and Romney have given us.

I know the establishment will use our disagreement of obama to get us to vote for their guy but they did this last time and now we have had enough.
Enough is enough, no more for me will I just get in line, give money and get out the vote here, I’ve had it.

Ditto. Not one dollar, not one vote. Things can't be that bad...hundreds of millions still being spent at the movies; sports arenas and stadiums still packed; millions still being spent sending our children to college. Maybe everything is okay.

Then you say It just doesn't work to turn anyone to our side. We need votes.

WHO IS THE ONE PERSON WHO WILL LEAD? That is what people are talking about and you KNOW IT. But it's always 'Sarah the Savior' smug remarks, or one person can't do it. They don't say it with their favorite candidate. ONE PERSON LEADS - and IF PEOPLE WANT SARAH - YOU WILL HAVE TO EAT HUMBLE PIE as much as you want to chime in with your 'one person can't do it.

Less relying on a "magic" politician to solve our every problem.

What "MAGIC" politician would you be addressing smugly??

How can we hold politicians responsible if we won't take each other to task (civilly) and hold each other responsible?

Oh Please, grow up. You aren't going hold any politician responsible, they do what they want and then they do something good and all is forgotten. If you have to babysit the politician, you already voted for the wrong "MAGIC" politician. People want someone that has a proven record, who hasn't reneged on their promises, someone we they can trust someone has fought HARD and NOT crossed the aisle. And they are few and far between because of the GOP E will make it miserably for them when they DON'T follow their path.

And who is that person that MANY see as that is SARAH. So get OVER it already with your 'MAGIC' and 'NO ONE can' to FEEL GOOD. That's childish talk!! Moreso, with a WeThePeople SARAH or with candidate 'WeThePeople Newt'.

The GOP E certainly KNOWS it is on ONE persons shoulders and they DON'T want her or NEWT - they want mitt. They wouldn't have to fight so hard with money/media AGAINST that one person - if that ONE person wasn't important.

Do you think the ONE person Mitt and the ONE person NEWT would have the same administration? Do you think our country would be the same in four years with either having Mitt or NEWT? Well, you just ain't thinking. It would be as different as day and night!!!

That ONE PERSON MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!! Ask those who voted for REAGAN and those wanna be REAGAN'S, if ONE PERSON didn't make a difference. Mitt detested Reagan and look who is supporting him - how's that for the GOP E and them wanting to take control of our country through ONE person. Now when some WANT Sarah to be that ONE person - don't come along with your 'feel good' holier than thou response. You ain't fooling anyone.

Here's your silly rant back at you...People who say we're lost without her say it loud and clear. No one person is that important. No one. To say that there is one person who can fix things elevates that person beyond their abilities and directly implies that it isn't "We The People".

One person - Obama. One person - Newt. One person - Mitt.

What ONE person is a proven leader, a historian of our GREAT country and IS the 'WeThePeople' candidate? What ONE person does the GOP E NOT want?

Thanks! Great photoshops by the way.

I just wonder if there is any way he'd say 'yes' if he comes out of the transplant well enough.
