I will not do it!

Posted on 03/29/2012 5:02:14 PM PDT by TexasSecede79366

But Rubio — a prominent Latino lawmaker with roots in the tea-party movement — offers Romney cover with conservatives who have been hesitant to support him.

Screw you Rubio! I will not now or ever again hold my nose and vote for another liberal Republican.

In matters of principle, stand like a rock. -- Thomas Jefferson

I agree that Romney should not be the nominee, but the fight is over who is the nominee at this point, not whom you would vote for in the election.

I will never vote for Romney for a couple reasons:

1. Soon, the SHTF scenarios are likely to occur, and it is to the advantage of the socialists that they not be in power when it does, so that they can blame the Republicans. If it is to be, then let Obama own it.

2. If we want all of our votes, Conservative and liberal Republicans alike, it would be nice to once in a while have a conservative candidate. Every election I hear that we need to just this once beat the other guy, then build a stronger Conservative base for next time. But it never happens. The GOP/e do everything in their power to stop the people from voting, including holding open elections to allow the libs to cross over, knowing it will help the GOP/e candidate. If this were not intentional, we would have seen a change after all of the history of this happening.

3. In my state, we are going to go Obama anyway, so I can cast my vote for anyone and it will not affect the outcome. My vote is for a write in candidate if Romney is on the ballot.

4. I will not ever vote for someone who does not hold my beliefs. Romney has not been truthful at all, and thus fails my first test.

5. With Congress unwilling to challenge the egregious actions of this Communist President, including is unlawful usurpation of power and and is support of unconstitutional legislation and executive orders, then there is no check and balance in the system any more, and we are in truth and in fact living in a dictatorship by another name.

6. We cannot even get laws passed to prove a voter has the right to vote. Neither party is even complaining. We have race baiting riots on our horizon and we do nothing against the New Black Panther Party to arrest them for inciting violence against the innocent. We do not control our own borders and neither party is interested in doing so. We do not control the drug trade. We allow socialist agendas to dominate our schools, our social institutions, our coffee table talk and our medicine.

Just what is Romney’s plan to change any part of this repeated, unrelenting assault on our freedoms? By my reckoning, he is in lock-step with Obama on most major issues of the day, and is only being shoved down our throats as a candidate to make it appear that we have a choice.

I want a candidate who stands for something different.

I will not submit.

I will not be goaded into voting for a false choice. The fault is the people who have not yet risen up to fight the corruption endemic in out political world, and indeed all of our lives.

That was the best reason for me to want to see Sarah Palin, because she would at least try to fight the bastards.

It is much simpler than that. Do you know any politician running for major office that really cares about anything but themselves? Really, it takes a special kind of person to run for major office and the attributes required are not good. It is all about power and control - both parties.

Now in the past, there were folks that ran to better the situation but these days, the money involved makes that impossible.

If you refuse to vote for the eventual candidate, then you join the tens of millions of idiots who brought the Kenyan to Washington in 2008.

That's pure bullcrap and kool-aid you're trying to get people to drink..... nobody can blame any Republican should Obam win another 4..... They have 'the right' and 'freedom' to vote their conscious to who they select.....we are all voters not hostages tied to follow the Romney crowd.

You blame the GOP-Elites who KNEW that Romney was a FATAL DISQUALIFICATION for the nomination in the first place? Heck even the Democrates knew that and why they support him.

It's guys like you that are trying to hang the future of the country on those who WILL NOT STAY ON THE RESERVATION WHEN THEY WEREN'T THE ONES WHO LEFT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

Nope, if you get Obama....Do Not Blame Me.....You can blame the Cardinals in the GOP college that sent the white smoke up the chimney on this fraud from before the first primary..... Romney was a presumption. .....You are trying to perpetrate that presumption

Gingrich and Santorum should pull every free-thinking, liberty-cherishing conservative left in the party... and when they go to broker the convention, .......they can be a ticket and send Romney back to the People’s Republic of Massachusetts.

The Demorats created this in the first place during Rubin/Clinton - LET THEM OWN IT!.... if Romney gets the nod, Obama wins by default... And that’s it. That’s the election.

So please, peddle the ‘Obama is going to be your fault’ among McConnell, Cantor, and the rest of the college of Cardinals that picked that charlatan in the first place......I’m not buying it, and neither should any sentient being still left in the conservative caucus.

In my case... in over 40 years of republican activism and donating about 100k to the cause... I am personally tired of being manipulated and lied to and screwed over by the gop/e. I warned them back in 2008... millions of us warned them in 2008 and back... Reagan warned them in 1975... and yet they do not listen.

Well I will not support someone like mitt romney and if the republicans nominate him obama is going to go Hannibal Lecter on romney and there is not a thing that anyone can do about it... because every word of the attacks will have evidence and a history to back them up.

After this election... I work with Patriots to seize the gop and return to republicanism or I help a new party rise and destroy the gop..... Either way... business as usual is over for the hard right.

That just needs another post....and thank you!

Your the one helping to get Obama re-elected...You love yourself more than your country...Just...plain...pitiful. PS I’ve been called worse here over the last eight years

You haven't been called nearly close to what I'm thinking but will refrain from for that statement you mouthed off to Texas.

Are you forgetting the country in which we live grants every 'voter' the right to vote his conscious?..and HE is accountable to God for that choice? Knowing that whatever a candidate does thereafter we are signing onto? We all have that right, and may I add privilege which men and woman died for.

The only blame sits on the lap of the GOP Elites entirely and fully, and without question, for the lineup they gave us in the first place knowing full well that Romney was both the Republican and Democrat Elites sweetheart. He lost to McCain...how the heck people even begin to imagine he will win against Obama is mind boggling. He won't, and he doesn't have a chance.

Our fight has been for the party more than anything else...and they still remain headstrong to stick it to us.

So quite telling folks they cannot choose their candidate......that is their vote... and when you stomp on anyone who isn't getting on the Romney bandwagon you are stomping on every mans and woman's grave who gave them that right to vote according to their conscious.

Everyone says it’s over. But we don’t have to cower and give in!!

1. Fight Romney. Vote fr Santorum in every state. No newt. Just try to get Santorum over 50% to possible beat Romney or stop him from getting delegates.

2. Let it be known all over the Internet, etc, that we don’t want Romney! He cannot beat Obama without us. Make him steer farther to the right. So far that his etch-a-sketch won’t fully shake the conservative out! Lol!

What he meant was he won't vote for a lying left-wing, Progressive Liberal like Romney because his record is so similiar to Obamas

He'll have two choices in November, Obama or the Republican. If Romney is the nominee and he said he's not voting for him, then he's staying home, RIGHT?

Vote your conscience in the primaries. Vote for your country in the general election.

That is what I have said, and what I have personally always done. Punishing our nation because my candidate didn’t win never was an option for me though.

Four years ago, there was some question how bad Obama would be. Not anymore. Anyone is preferable to him to lead this country. Even if we take the Senate, we won’t have enough votes to override his vetoes, and he will continue to ruin us through the bureaucracies and EOs. His foreign policies are a nightmare that could lead to millions of deaths....literally.

He cannot be allowed re-election.

Call me what you want, but that is the TRUTH.

As far as Mittens I did my duty and voted Rick in the IL Primary, the good news is the delegate for Rick is the man who will be on the GOP Ticket running in my Congressional District against a "Blue Dog Rat, Lipinski".

And from what Impy and BillyBoy have told me Richard Grabowski is a sincere conservative candidate. So that was one positive thing to occur last Tuesday!!!

My enemy is leftism and their enablers in ALL forms, and most especially keeping that cancer out of the Republican Party before it becomes like the Democrats. The fact that you can’t recognize that in Slick Willard shows how out of touch you are, if you declare yourself a Conservative.

None of us here want Emperor Zero to have 4 more years, but with the insistence of the statist and corrupted GOP establishment forcing a Socialist and notorious pathological liar down our throats (the White Zero) as Willard is, they’re making it incredibly easy for Original Zero to waltz to victory.

You want to pimp for the Socialist Willard, don’t act shocked and surprised what the end result is in November. As I and many others have said, we’re not voting for a fraud, a plastic flim-flam man, a liar, who holds absolute and visceral contempt for Conservatism, the values we hold dear. We already have one of those in the White House, so let the Democrats own it. When the GOP decides to grow the hell up, offer a real and substantive choice, and put forth honorable men and women who walk the walk, we’ll stand behind them 100%.

No, it is those "conservatives" who plan on voting for Romney who will cause the re-election of Obozo and the probable end of this republic. The "Libs who have crossed over in the GOP primaries," etc., include accommodationist slimebags like Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, McConnell, McShame, and every leftist Wall Street financier who has funded Romney's relentless advertising campaign of lies, slander, phony claims that Romney is somehow what passes nowadays for "conservative," etc.

I am a Catholic. We Catholics knew Saint Thomas a Becket. He used his misspent youth drinking and whoring around in tandem with Henry II. St. Thomas did not seek to be Archbishop of Canterbury or even the priesthood. That was Henry's idea for him. St. Thomas repented his sins, was ordained a priest and consecrated a bishop. He as murdered for his subsequent virtues. He was a bishop of ours. This spineless leftist POS trash in GOP drag, Mitt Romney, is no Saint Thomas a Becket. When Romney repents as publicly as he has transgressed, and publicly and credibly renounces his entire political life of privilege, lies and corruption, get back to us even if he is still alive. Nice try. No ceegar.

I won't be had, now or ever. That means I will NEVER vote for Romney no matter WHO his opponent may be. If this country is going to be destroyed (and Romney's mere NOMINATION will accomplish exactly that), then it is going to be destroyed by Demonrats. There will then, at least, be an opposition major party. Meanwhile, I will vote for my fellow FReeper Tom Hoefling aka Eternal Vigilance for POTUS. If you say that he has a lesser chance than Romney of saving America, I will tell you and any others eager to vote Romney, that, if Tom Hoefling were elected, he would spare no effort to establish principle as policy and that, if, God forbid, Romney were elected, Romney and his fat corrupt co-conspirators would, of course, spare no effort to fatten their trust funds and destroy this nation. A POTUS cannot reverse the damage unless he/she is willing to try.

You know infallibly when Romney is lying. His lips move. He is the start of another potential unprincipled corruptocrat absolutely unprincipled "dynasty" of money grubbers and has five sons with square jaws and "business" backgrounds and no observable conservative principles or qualifications for office just like their dear old two-faced dad. Now that the Bush dynasty seems to be on the rocks and spent, Poppy Bush and wife Barbara of Planned Barrenhood want to pass the torch to a new dynasty of social revolutionaries.

Just what sort of payoff do you imagine those big money boys who fund Romney will expect in exchange for the mountains of money they have spent to destroy the candidacies of Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Santorum and Gingrich and to deter anyone worth nominating (like Palin) from running at all? There is in the water, the blood of the American republic and her people. The sharks who fund Romney are in full feeding frenzy. They had to hurry so that they could pick our bones instead of Comrade Obozo and friends getting that opportunity. We may as well elect Soros or Buffett or Gates. Each is a hell of a lot more of a businessman that Mittens ever dreamed of being. Of course, Soros is a foreign born communist (nbc of Hungary) unlike the others but, hey, why should that stop him from being POTUS?

IF Romney is the nominee and Obozo is re-elected, the constitution says that we CAN start to restore the republic starting in 2016. If Romney is elected, we cannot START the restoration until 2020. In either event, each and every person who is identified as a Romney backer, should have NO PLACE in the restoration effort without public humiliation and confession and penance and punishment.

I eagerly look forward to and will celebrate Romney's defeat, before the convention, if possible, at the convention if subsequently necessary, in the election if need be. Priorities: first destroy Romney and, IF and only IF that is achieved, destroy Obozo and the Demonrat anti-constitutional dictatorship.

Anyone who gives the slightest aid and comfort to Romney and his despicable campaign will, if Romney is nominated, be responsible for Obozo's re-election IF he is re-elected. Generally, attempted bank robbery can be punished as hard as actual and successful bank robbery. I have voted GOP in each and every POTUS election since and including 1968. I have held my nose for the last time.

Not only that, but I have also been where you are now and discouraged third party conservative voting. That is all over with as well until there is an actual Republican Party as well.

It just tells me that the many conservatives who will choose to stay home will let themselves be snookered by the Libs who have "crossed over" in the GOP primaries and forced (unethically) the nomination of the least conservative nominee.

It wasn't crossover libs who have done this, it is people within our own party who will cooperate in the destruction of every true conservative opponent of Romney. This is the mirror image of Obama way, clear the field. Destroy those ESPECIALLY in your own party.

If we never call their bluff, we will get more of the same, while the Alberto Gonzaleses and Lindsey Grahams of the world will get credentialed, our people are ruined. It is not just Bachmann, Cain, Santorum, Gingrich that we are talking about, but also those who chose not to run because they saw where this was going (starting, I am afraid, with Sarah Palin).

In 2000, Bush the Younger cleared the field with the combination of a huge war chest, a prestigious family name, lined up endorsements and a promise to be more like Reagan than his dad. Romney met more resistance than W did, so we are learning, but we are not there yet. And Romney is farther from being a conseravtive than W, who gave us two picks for SCOTUS far better than ANYone Romney gave MA.

We will not have arrived until there is a political realignment. Plutocracy is just as antithetical to free enterprise as big government; its interest in squashing free commerce is more immediate. Until this realignment we only get to choose whether we get struck with a claw hammer or a sledgehammer.

Stage 1: If Romney is elected, he will work to further marginalize us. We must respond by coalescing around one first choice and one second choice in 2013, not 2016. This candidate may be partially sullied. All are. Forget past endorsements, they mean little in future elections. Pick a Sarah Palin, a Bobby Jindal, a Scott Walker. Fund him, and back him, and don't wait for Romney to insult us.

If you won’t vote against him, what the hell is the matter with you?

The problem is, the party that claims to support our values cannot produce a candidate worth voting for.

Seriously, it's the morons who want us to vote "against" someone that get the Arlen Specter's elected.

Many years ago, on the sitcom "Taxi," the drivers complained that the apples in the vending machine were rotten. They decided that if they bought and ate the rotten apples they would eventually get good apples. At the end of the show, they learned that the man who stocked the machine kept giving them rotten apples because they kept buying rotten apples.

The GOP can shove their rotten apple, Mitt Romney, up their collective asses. I will not vote for a socialist RINO.

That's a really great strategy you've got going there...not!

The "Repub" party wants the same things as the Democratic Party.

No, they don't. When Repubs controlled the House, Senate, and the Presidency, why didn't they raise taxes, pass government controlled health care, pass a trillion dollar giveaway to their supporters, turn their back on Israel, and apologize to every enemy we have on the globe? Every Democrat would have joined them...

They could have passed cap and trade, shut down drilling in the gulf, ignored voter intimidation towards whites,...and on and on and on. They didn't. Why?

It takes a really twisted view not to see the differences.

I refer you to post 122 on that note.

Look, my children and grand children are not going to pick up this mess if I have anything to say about it...if Ob gets it wwe'll go dow fast and hard....the vote in 2016 to pick up what's salvagable and move our nation forward.

If Romney gets it we still go down but you'll never know when the rugs going to be pulled or how often...he'll still take us down but by increments, all the while selling us out to the New World Order.....He'll give the bimbo republicans just enough "gravy" to keep them in his court but he will still take us down.....and that then will fall on my children and grandchildren......no thank you...I will not pass this onto them by voting for Romney.

If Romney is his opponent, it will be because he got the most votes in the Republican primaries...not because he got shoved down anyone's throat.

Oh my gosh! Have you been living in a hole somewhere? Can't believe you made that statement....complete disconnect from reality.

So...how much are "we" drilling in the gulf? Last I heard, the Chinese and Brazilians are pumping more oil out of the gulf than us!

How much are we drilling anywhere else? I seemed to have missed the GOP statements on this. Why did the GOP let San Fran Nan and her Communist clan stop the drilling in the Alaskan preserve?

Did the GOP do ANYTHING about the black panthers at the polling places? ***Crickets*** They DID IGNORE VOTER INTIMIDATION! PLUS THEY AREN'T DOING A HELL OF A LOT TO FIGHT FOR VOTER ID LAWS!

How about the Fast and Furious scandal? Didn't Boener cave on that one?

Speaking of cap and trade, doesn't Romney support cap and trade?

Why don't you talk about the wonderful Conservatives Romney would nominate for SCOTUS. Afterall Romney has all of those conservative values...pro-homosexual, anti-gun rights, big government, etc...

I'd like to say "nice try." In all honesty, your sad attempt to rally support for your socialist candidate and spineless, corrupt party has been pathetic.

Huh? Am I living in an alternate universe? Are there no primaries going on in yours?

Obama's fault. He controls the permitting process.

Why did the GOP let San Fran Nan and her Communist clan stop the drilling in the Alaskan preserve?

Not enough votes.

Did the GOP do ANYTHING about the black panthers at the polling places?

The Bush DOJ had them indicted...Holder dropped it.

How about the Fast and Furious scandal?

Have you missed Issa's hearings and subpoenas?

Speaking of cap and trade, doesn't Romney support cap and trade?

I don't know. Would a Repub congress ever pass it if he did?

Why don't you talk about the wonderful Conservatives Romney would nominate for SCOTUS.

Think they would be worse than Sotomayer and Kagan? Who's the next one Obama will nominate?

In all honesty, your sad attempt to rally support for your socialist candidate and spineless, corrupt party has been pathetic.

LOL...who missed the mark on this one?

Yep. The question is whether we will be able to get back up. At least with the Repub nominee elected, we will have some influence. Obama will just give us the finger....Putin will have more say so than conservatives will.

Indeed....how can you possibly say that Romney isn't get shoved down our throats? The media has all but blocked out any favorable attributes about any of the candidates from day one.....and they NEVER present Romney in any other light then "steady as he goes"...and the guy who is going to wrap this primary up.

The Gop-E have all but proclaimed him from the get go and continue to do so now. I could go on and on how this whole primary has been rolling out that Romney is the man of the hour...even when he's failing....so He certainly has been shoved down peoples throats in every way possible....and with the money and power behind them to pull it off.

People still get to vote. Gingrich won here in SC even with the MSM bias.

Your just unhappy because you don’t have the votes to get your way.

PS...its not over yet. Santorum might squeak it out. I’d happily vote for him even though I prefer Newt. However, I’m voting against Obama come hail or high water.

I’ll crawl over broken glass to vote against that bastard, even if Mickey Mouse comes out of a brokered convention.

At this point, I’d even vote for Ron Paul against Obama. As screwed up as he is, he’s better than Obama.

And just where and who is that influnece going to come from come from???? Congress????? Surely you wouldn't suggest such a thing with the history they have.

The people????.....Well we have Obama care one way or another coming even when the entire nation opposed it

So do tell where this "hold their feet to the fire" is going to come from?

Well, no Dem is going to vote for a Republican...any Republican.

If they want any chance of getting re-elected, they better listen. That is the only leverage we have ever had.

What Romney or Santorum would do as President is a big question mark...I can’t argue that. However, I do know what Obama will do.

PS...its not over yet.

Well on that note I can agree.....but I still will not be voting for Romney. Santorum would be a hold my nose vote possibly....because he can be easily led....and perhaps he'll be wise enough to have an excellant cabinet.

I wasn't thrilled with Bush but I knew with all which was opposing him that something huge was about to happen in our country, especially after he declared those running with him.....Cheney, Powell, Rumsfield....all heavy lifters. So maybe Santorum would do likewise...if he's smart. And that's questionable as we've seen.

Of course I'm not happy how the media took out Newt, and Romney's ad campaign against him...even the Mambo machine was in that, as well as Paul. But the difference between Newt and the other runners....he's STILL standing and he's no intention of stopping until convention.....then the rubber will hit the road and we'll all see who rises to the top.
