My flowers are blooming this year, after I dug up the dirt and put in better dirt.

I’m very happy about it, and this seems a good thread to share that on.

Forgive me if I am too silly.

But what I’ve been striving for is:

The flowers that bloom in the spring

Tra la

Breathe promise of merry sunshine

As we merrily dance and we sing

Tra la

We welcome the hope that they bring

Tra la

Of a summer of roses and wine

Of a summer of roses and wine

And that’s what we mean when we say that a thing

Is welcome as flowers that bloom in the spring.

Things To Do Haiku





Little Kittens have
so much to do every
day. They get confused

Energy comes in
spurts. Aided by Sunny Spots.
Gathered during Naps

Sunlight charges the
Kitten's batteries. Though they
drain very quickly

There are no warning
signs or foretelling when the
the batteries run down

It just happens! And
usually in the most
humorous of ways

Intermittent Naps
are a small part of a Kitten's
daily Agenda

To stalk and seek here
and explore over there to
expand Horizons

A well rounded and
Curious Kitten will find
easy solutions

To climbing Curtains
while waiting for their Pretty
Ones to return Home

A New View Of Change
April 1, 2012

People hate change, or so I hear. But the change we generally resist is the kind that we think will make our situation worse rather than better. We eagerly change jobs when it means higher pay and more influence. We happily move to a bigger house in a better neighborhood. So it’s not change in general that we hate; it’s change that involves loss—sometimes physical; other times emotional or psychological.

Change is both inevitable and necessary. If everything stays the same, no one is growing. But we have a Shepherd who guides us through change and leads us to a better place. Getting there may be difficult, as it was for the Israelites in reaching the Promised Land. They grumbled when their situation got worse rather than better (Ex. 15:24; Num. 14:2). But we have the example of Jesus. In less than a week, He went from being the leader of many to being abandoned by all. Between Palm Sunday and Good Friday, the Good Shepherd became the Passover Lamb. Because Christ willingly went through suffering, God elevated Him to the highest place (John 10:11; Phil. 2:8-9).

Not all change is pleasant, but when we’re being led to a better place by Someone who loves us, we don’t need to fear it.

Its not good to be sick on your birthday, is it?
Getting ready to hit the pink bottle right away!

I have had some longer periods of no screaming burning itching..but I am still breaking out with hives..I am keeping ice water by me to help sooth the itching..
Have it on my head and face now...Hope that stops ASAP!
So far it's minimal..

Thank you for your sweet commiseration with me..I wouldn't answer for fear we'd all end up back in March..LOL My worst bout lasted 6 weeks...new fabric softener did it.

A Blessed Palm Sunday To You All!

Today is the day that "The Passion" is read in Churches around the world. My Favorite rendition of this is "St. Matthew's Passion" by Johann Sebastien Bach. Even though it is long (3 cd's!) the music is magnificent.
Good Friday and Passover coincide this year, BTW.

Thank you for the beautiful tulips today, Meg. I am no better. Don’t want anything to eat. I just now boiled an egg and ate about half of it. Greg said to make a piece of toast and trim off the crusts and spread a thin layer of jelly on it. He said if it came back up, it wouldn’t be as bad as something else.

I told him I was working on getting better. Of course they are cooking for me tonight and I told him I might not be able to come but I would let him know. He understands of course and it makes me sad!

I love to post on Palm Sunday but I can’t today. I always enjoy what everyone else posts!!

I hope I feel good enough to get my kitchen straightened up from last night. I made 2 quarts of pickled beets and it was a huge job with a huge mess. I was going to make pickled eggs today but can’t do that for certain.

Hope your hives start improving SOON!
