The water toward which the car was plummetting, in my dream, was bright blue. My mother was driving. Actually, I don’t think there are many high cliffs around Orlando, which makes me feel better.

Also, it sounds like the coffee is ready.

My daughter has a hypenated name. No middle name. When she went to the recruiting office to join the navy, she told the recruiter her name was Jane-Elizabeth. He asked her how to spell hyphen.

She was 17, and laughed for a week about it.

Good morning. I think. I am here.

But am I really here? Or is it my E-vil twin?

I could name the baby “Abstruse,” but never “Hyphen.”

Or Hyphenman or Hyphenson or D’Hyphen.

Can you imagine spelling “Dee-apostrophe-hyphen” for the drone at the DMV?

My daughter has a hyphenated name.

Ack. Well played. Ni and San each have a double name (as in your Jane-Elizabeth, but without a hyphen, and each is known by and called by both names), but I wasn't clever enough to use the hyphen.

With two, I think I would have used a hypen with Ni and a dash with San.

Yes, but just barely.

How about spelling D'Hy-Phen - “capital-D-apostrophe-capital-H-y-hyphen-capital-P-h-e-n” - for the drone at the DMV?

She just goes by Janie, these days. She loves the name. When I adopted her,I gave her the option to choose her own name. Since she was 10, she wanted some choices, so I gave her three. Jane-Elizabeth was born Dec 10, 1977. Already 10 years old! ;o]

It does seem somewhat negative. By the way, the young boy in "The Incredibles" was called Dash. I'm kinda surprised his sister wasn't called Dot.

I love that movie! but then, I love most of the pixelated movies. One of my favorites is Beowulf, with Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie. Excellent!
