I know I'm very late to the thread but this story reminds me of Wendy from the Breaking Bad series.

It’s late, I worked 12 hours today, I don’t have her number in my phone anymore, and he is a spy and therefore doesn’t have pictures.

You sound *so* energetic! This gardening thing is whipping my butt. It’s like being a bagger in the supermarket where everything goes on top. There are so many thing to do and very difficult to fit into a decision matrix because more than one task is very high priority. How big is your garden plot? What have you planted beside 36 tomato seeds? Do you amend your soil w/results from an inexpensive soil-testing kit, or do you take it to your county extension office?

You fell for the ol’ “I’m a secret agent” line?

Disappointing.

He has a higher security clearance than I do and can’t tell me where he works or what he does there.
From this I deduce that he is a secret agent. Or a codebreaker. Something.

Ah! MUCH better than him telling you he's a spook!

There are probably 12 times as many guys claiming to be a secret agent right now than there have been actual spies in all of recorded history...

Most likely finance. They don't want anyone to know what they're doing with our money.

Anyway, movie: "The Avengers".

Awesome. See it.

End of report.

Good luck! I have a rice-and-bean dish finished to take to the Missionaries of the Poor assembly, and now I need to get music pages together.

Epic Fail Lawn Service - “I’m going to do it before it gets too hot!” - is still in bed.

I *love* rice and beans! Did you ever make pasta e fagiole (sp?) I used to make it w/green peas or chick peas. It’s hard to imagine so much flavor in one dish!

Our recipe asks for white beans, iirc.

My chain-smoking next door neighbor has a white cat that used to be fluffy but I think she must have cancer. She is thin as a rail, and her fur is really ratty-looking. Poor little thing.

I doubt the Coast Guard is involved in finance except in the most general, Coast Guard-related sense.

I'm a retired secret agent, but I still receive the annual International Photographic Directory of Secret Agents, Spies, Codebreakers, Spooks, and Operatives. It's cross-referenced by a number of factors, such as height, hair color, and language and specific killing skills.

If you describe him and any identifying characteristics (scars, missing limbs or eyes, robotic orthotics), I send you photocopies of some likely candidates through your mother.
