I saw a Mitt Romney sticker on a car at Walmart today.

On my way to work on Thursday I saw a fair bit of commotion off to the left of the highway; a couple of buses parked cattywumpus on the frontage road with a crowd of folks standing around between them, a horde of news vans, a brace of fire trucks, police, and a news 'copter over head.

Then I noticed this one guy, standing apart from the crowd in a white shirt and tie talking to a camera, and simultaneously apprehended the bus-sized font on the side of one of the buses.

"ROMNEY"

That was right about
HERE.

Hi again! I'm going to do one post and then go back to sleep.

(HKMk23) There's a new baby girl at my house since last you stopped by the UT

Congratulations HKMk23!

(tax-chick) I had another baby while you were gone, but that’s typical.

That still calls for a congratulations! Boy or girl?

(NicknamedBob) Have you started your cat collection yet?

No cats, but I did have a baby boy last year. It's hard to believe (at least for me) that he just turned 1. The time has gone by so fast.

(Monkey Face) How are you doing? Are you teaching? What’s new in your life?

I'm doing fine. I'm still teaching full-time at the same place in the same department. The only thing that is new is my son. He takes up most of my free time.

Now it's time to go back to sleep.

Congratulation your son! Fun, aren’t they?

My baby is a girl; she’s 4 months old now.

I did see that he’d been there. At least it didn’t shut down the entire area for miles around.

Bibi Netanyahu stickers, in Hebrew,

Lol, most people will probably think it's Arabic, not Hebrew.

“distarb the arth”
LOL, I can just hear her!

I guess a person’s weight would compact wet soil more easily than dry soil. Good old advice, is good old advice.

Thank her for me.
Actually, if you can, get her to write down all the stuff she knows. They don’t make ‘em like her anymore.

Afternoon, *yawn*.

Up before six because the kids had a practice swim meet this morning. Then we went to a birthday party (Abigail, age 1), and then we came home and some of us collapsed. Now Tom, Elen, and Bill have gone to church (Mass followed by youth group cookout) and Sally has another birthday party to attend (Elyse, age 10, up the street).

Now I’m off to give Kathleen a bath.

You mention musicals, and your first thought is “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”? No wonder you don’t like them.

New York~New York, Oklahoma, Jesus Christ superstar, White Christmas, My Fair Lady, Evita, Chicago, The Music Man, Bye Bye Birdie, .....OMG, heaven.

I’ve tried to get her to write her stuff down (she makes a salsa that’s out of this world, and her spiced pecans are heavenly!) She shares her recipes w/me but refuses to write them down because she doesn’t want anyone copying her. I had a kung fu instructor like that. He was a grandmaster, two-time champion of all of Southern China in his style, but he really didn’t give a flying rip if his knowledge base was lost. He died at the age of 61. It was tragic. He was a very good and kind person. Hopefully, he’s wheeling around in heaven playing mah jongh.

I have no idea how you do it all. The only explanation is that you have very good genes!

Yes, I’m very fortunate to have good health, and also, I eat lots of spinach.

During June we have swim team every day except Sunday, and in the middle of it all, Cub Scouts day camp for a week. James and Vlad will go to that. I don’t know yet if they’ll let Kathleen and me volunteer, and it will be fine if they don’t!

Kathleen is having her food now - rice cereal with a bit of banana. A baby her size needs a little extra sustenance. She weighs only a couple of books less than Abigail, today’s birthday girl. Abigail is her parents’ first child, and has every girly-thing known to modern marketing! Kathleen has ... brothers.

I have it upon good authority that brothers teach a young lady how to cope w/multiple challenges. Power to Kathleen as well as power to the byos!

Brothers teach a young lady all about dinosaurs, and also about how much mess males make in the bathroom. Beyond that, I’m not sure ... I had just the one brother.

Actually, my daughter attended an inner urban school and one of her classmates had several brothers. Said classmate tossed a few obnoxious fellows down the stairs when they bothered my daughter. Classmate loved my blondies. Her birthday party was held at the Malcolm X Daycare Center. Those were the good old days when friends were friends....

Anoreth certainly grew up tough, but it might be just her innate self, irrespective of brothers.

I’m off to baby-snuggling, see you tomorrow!
