Yes, there a correlation but it can not been seen easily. Using Cartesian coordinate system if you look down the z axis it will appear to be a circle. View from the x axis if will appear to be a rectangle, and finely viewing from the y axis it will appear to be a triangle. The material it is made from will determent it’s function.
