I'm glad I did.
But I'm also glad I didn't have to wade through bagpipes to do it.
“A tower without a piper is like a moat without water or a high performance car without a road loop to open it up on.”
It’s possible that I could have written the first part of that, but not the second.
I don’t think cars.
Thank you Darks, and everyone who has posted and FReepmailed me about Sionnsar. He was my heart and my life. Your love and kindness expressed in so many ways are a life preserver when I feel like I am drowning in tears. God bless each and every one of you brave hearts who hold the line against the tyrants who would silence us.
Watch your US Mail for a fruit basket next week.
Thank you. You are so thoughtful :-)
While sorting though mounds of papers, I ran across the itinerary from McCarran to Charlotte...and just a few piles of paper later, I found a photo that Sionnsar had sent just before his first trip here.
Sensory overload. For a minute, it was difficult to see what I was doing.
What? I don’t get it.
Forgot to give credit:

Wasted a trip through time, he did...maybe that’s why it made no sense to me...;o]
LOL! Time travel scenarios always turn out wrong!
Afternoon. It seems it might rain here. Or maybe it’s Tom blocking the sun as he nags to get on the computer ...
WIndy and cool here. It’s only supposed to be in the 70’s for a high, then a low in the 60’s tonight.
The Stig is always hovering over my left shoulder, but he doesn’t nag. He reminds me of the joke about the foul-mouthed parrot, whose owner, in desperation, tossed him into the freezer for 15 minutes.
On being released, he assumed a decidedly inferior stance, and asked politely, “May I inquire what the turkey said to get such a harsh punishment?” Yah.
The Stig reminds me of that...he takes the stance of a critter knowing who the Alpha Critter is.
I’ll try to remember to take a photo of him when he does it, so you can see what I deal with! Good thing I have no conscience, or I would have set him free LONG ago! LOL!
I have choir practice this evening, and the kids have swimming, if there are no thunderstorms. Departure for the pool with Pat and James in about 15 minutes. The weather-beeber says it’s 86, and there are clouds coming up in the north, but maybe nothing will happen.
I added that part about cars.
You are very welcome, most dear one.
As for me...I will soon find my way to the Blanket Show! And from there, I will see you tomorrow!!!
My little feeties hurt...right big toe has big toe blster, left big toe has a blister on the tip, which was my favorite place to stub when I was a short person!
Last night, I watched the last DVD of LOTR, and oddly enough, the last three DVDs were strangely unfamiliar. Still, no reading got done, but the movies were still as excellent as they were when first I saw them.
Since I had been to the original motion picture of LOTR, and was SOOOO disappointed, I wasn’t sure that THIS production was going to be different.
However, tonight, I am going to read some BOOKS again! YAY!
An alternative punchline could be:
"All right, it's done. I've killed Hitler."
"What? Who? Why would you use a time machine to kill some unknown minor figure in history when you could have eliminated ______________ ?"
In the spirit of Hobbit (and feline) dining practices ...
Celebrated here upon occasion, infrequently enough to keep it special.
Sounds about right.
We have Seattle-y weather ... 58 and cold rain. The pets are deeply offended, and the Offspring are glad they didn’t have an 8:00 a.m. swim practice. Frank says it’s snowing.
Music for the day. Remember our veterans and those who didn’t last that long.
One I found that didn’t glich up on me.
Same tune. Kathleen doesn’t seem to mind bagpipes, but Shannon smacked my knee, put on her annoyed ears, and left the room.
So Shannon only likes the stuff like the band Janus, eh?
She might just be in a bad mood because it’s cold and rainy, and also she ate some of Ash’s food and then threw up.
I need to take Sally and Kathleen to the doctor for shots. That will make Shannon happy, because she can sit in this chair feeling pride of ownership. Right now she’s having a Smug on some papers I might care about, but the chair is the real goal.
Play that for her, might reinforce her smug.
Tom, Sally, and Kathleen liked it. Shannon has gone to scowl out the window at the rain.
I think Jake gave up and sought the largest pile of blankets - probably Elen’s bed.
Oh dear, I’m a fail for Der Kitteh Massterss.
“I can take your breath away”
Great, taken literally by my imagination I see someone gasping on the floor...
Nanite infection, a terrible thing.
Blurry screen. Thank you
At our house, they lie and say I never gave them the first one.
That could be my cat. An hour after I fed her last night, she appeared in the doorway of my bedroom, just sitting there and staring at me with laser eyes.
Apparently she could see the bottom of her dish and was displeased.
I learn *so much* from you!
Ours hate seeing the bottom of the bowl, too, but if you give it a shake so the level is even, then it’s fine for a while.
I like how they look into the bowl and then look back at you repeatedly as if you’re supposed to notice something horribly wrong with the bowl.
Shannon pats me on the shoulder, with a little claw, and emphatically says, “Nik nyark!”
I heard this on the radio this morning and thought of you!
Thanks for posting that! Years ago I used to listen to Dallas Holmes and Praise. Similar techniques. Glorious version of The Gospel.
Tristan angles his whiskers downward and tries to look as pathetic as he can.
I have one of those clocks that make bird noises. My mother gave it to me years ago when her cats were going crazy trying to find the birds. I don’t have batteries in it because my Crookedtail cat zeroed in on it as the source of the sounds and knocked it off the wall looking for the bird. ... I sure do miss that old cat friend.
You’re welcome! I thought it was a beautiful song, and appropriate as LibreOuMort faces the anniversary of her husband’s death. Simply as a musical taste, I prefer a more forceful singing style, like Michael W. Smith’s or Martin Valverde’s.
I know the kind of clock you mean. I hadn’t thought about catz attacking!
We put up with so much from our feline overlords. I just took the baby upstairs for a diaper change and found a cat in the baby’s bed. “Don’t bother me,” she said - that is, “Nyerrrr” - while ostentatiously washing.
Day Three of the Great Paper Purge:
Having spent the last three hours with my fanny on the floor, and various piles marked (mentally) for Toss, Keep, Future Reference, and Personal, I am at last down to those piles that I forgot what the mark was.
However, the deed is nearly done. Except for the inevitable clean-up...toss out the bags, vacuum up the debris, and try to make things fit in the space allowed.
(I’m getting too old for this stuff!)
Congratulations on your efforts! Kathleen weighed 17 lbs. 1 oz. and is 26” in extent. Sally got a DPT booster and is in good health.
Pat has been playing ukulele for some of the Spanish church music this afternoon. Many of the songs have only 3 or 4 chords. Now he’s gone upstairs to listen to his Jake Shimabukuru CD and dream of his brilliant future.
Somewhere, a long time ago, I had a formula for figuring out how tall a person would be as an adult, if he were measured at two years of age. I did it for Hockeybug, and it was spot on! Shocking! How dare my son grow up to be taller than I? LOL!
