When I said 15 beers a night, I failed to mention that my “nights” are from around 5pm until 5-6am. That’s a span of around 12-13 hours, so my drinking is barely over one beer per hour and includes a supper during that time. I don’t get drunk.

To answer wardaddy’s question about how many times I get up during my bedtime... Usually once after I’ve been asleep about 6 hours. I normally start my “day” around noon or 1pm, and don’t drink during the day while working in the yard or driving around doing errands.

Well... I suppose that’s enough about my personal life. lol

If you drink every day, whether it is 5 beers, 15, or 20 - that is still a medical and technical verification of alcoholism (drinking every day).

Put it to you this way: in the pure hypothetical, if for some reason you were arrested for something and went before a judge, and say he determined that the court wanted you screened by medical doctors and authorities. They would perform an "intake" on you, to include blood tests, blood pressure, a rudimentary physical examination, and a battery of screening questions.

They would go over your drinking frequency and drinking history.

I guarantee you, with 100% certainty, that based on your answers here, they would classify you as an alcoholic.

Try to give it up, just for a few days. If you manifest any of withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia, agitation, palpitations, upset stomach, migraines, restlessness, or sweating, it should give you pause.

Take care.
