Typical lame-ass wording of a question in a poll: the statement of the question *assumes* that raising taxes on the wealthy would help the economy.

Much of the principled opposition to the Obama/Buffet tax is that it would “hurt* the economy.

The actual question should be: “Which would be a more effective means to remove $100 billion from the federal deficit: reduce federal spending or increase taxes on the very wealthy?”

The Yahoo question was clearly constructed to elicit a “Yes” answer.

IMHO there should have been a check question to follow a “Yes” answer - “How many middle class or poor people have offered you a full time job?”

The unwashed and poorly educated masses, actively encouraged by the LMSM have no understanding when it comes to the economy (”Money from Obama’s stash”) much less what it takes to meet a payroll. But then, that is the type of people who will vote liberal-progressive-socialist-dimocrat every time.

The question I would like to see asked:

If it was known that lowering taxes across the board would bring in more total tax revenue by generating more domestic economic activity but that the wealthy would still benefit from those tax cuts, would you be in favor or opposed?

The libtards and economic ignoramuses (even assuming they understood the question) would still be overwhelmingly opposed.
