Anybody ever heard of a Fisker?

A friend of mine bought a car that I've never heard of. Anyone else ever heard of a Fisker Karma? Im on a phone so I have limited posting capabilities. Basically its like a Volt. It gets almost 60 mpg and does 0-60 under 6 seconds. Just curious is others have ever seen one? Thoughts? Tired of the Trayvon story.

Since I’ve been watching Top Gear, my appreciation of European sports cars has definitely risen. I’d love to have an Aston Martin but I hate to think what it would cost to own one in this country.

Sorry to say but your friend is a fool. Take appropriate precautions with their stupidity.

Justin Bieber owns one.

I can’t think of a better reason NOT to own one.

If I was ever going to buy a "reasonably priced" European sports car I would go with one of these for $280,000+

I took my brother down to Stanford hospital in January and we went past a Fisker dealership in Palo Alto. I had to look on the internet to find out what a Fisker was. It was right beside a Mclaren dealership. I at least had heard of Mclarens.

Im a poor working fool that drives a 99 durango at 13mpg’s. He also has a hummer, lambo, vette, and a tricked out R1 motorcycle. Must be nice to be rich... gas alone is $100 per week. Breaking the bank I tell ya.. oh, I forgot the arsenal of guns I can’t identify including a 37 mm grenade launcher.

I haven’t seen one on the road yet. They look good but they don’t run. Guess that why they get good mileage. If you can’t move the mileage is always great.
I wonder what other great projects Obama has in mind. Like the N. Korean rocket that didn’t make it. Obama keeps making the wrong choices. Solyandra anyone?

From the post referenced below:

Judicial Watch’s FOIA request regarding Fisker’s missed milestones is part of a comprehensive Judicial Watch investigation into the Obama administration’s bailout of this failing automobile manufacturer.

“The Obama administration’s response to this simple FOIA request is not only dishonest it is insulting to the American people. How dare the Obama Department of Energy take over half-a-billion dollars from the taxpayers and then tell them it’s none of their business whether these funds were put to good use! I suspect the information on these blacked out pages of records is embarrassing to the Obama administration. But embarrassment is not a valid reason for withholding records. The Fisker scandal is debacle for taxpayers and the Obama administration is in cover-up mode,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

LOL, I bet that is not a demographic that Fisker never thought to market to. Green cars to gun owners.

I watch that and love European cars too (and others, but HATE the bail-out company cars like the re-Volt-ing).
I have a 10mpg 500hp BMW M6. It’s amazing! All cars are money pits. The only difference is how deep is the pit! lol

As far as Top Gear is concerned, I hate to admit it but they’re right. Almost all American cars are crap. However I have heard them mention that Americans drive differently and generally are willing to accept poorer quality.
