I have not been posting as much on FR lately. I have been dealing with a lot of health issues in recent months. A lot of it is personal and some of my friends don't even know about about everything im dealing with. I have not wanted to be seen as whining or overwelming someone with my own problems.
I initially rejected the idea. But I have decided that spening 6 to 12 months in a nursing home is the best thing for me right now. I can focus on outpaitent therapy and get the care I need.
I am having a lot of problems with my muscles and joints (related to R.A.) I have stomach probs/bathroom accidents and it is getting more and more difficult to take care of my own hygine. plus other personal probs... A lot of this takes a toll on me emotionally as well..
I will feel weird staying in a nursing home at the age of 26. I am a father, im a husband. But we believe it is the best thing for me right now. to hopefully improve physically and emotionally..
ty for keeping me in your prayers

Prayers for you and our family.
Nursing homes have people of all ages. Don’t worry about that. Concentrate on getting well.
Best of luck to you and your family. Pray and Focus on getting better, and it will pay off for you.
No thanks necessary...it's part of the service here at FR.
Be well, my FRiend.
Prayers for you my friend!
I admire your courage for sharing your story. God Bless you and best wishes for many more years.
You certainly have my prayers!
you can always whine here!
Just kidding. Godspeed. You're best days are ahead of you. You'll see.
Our prayers will be with you.
Prayers up. Stay positive!
It is easy to see how depression could set in under those physical conditions. I’ve been dealing with a sprained wrist and have been depressed. You make me feel like a such a slacker. Oh, and I’m a whole lot older than you, too. A little arthritis at my age is not so unusual.
Take care of yourself and remember, you can always find friends here on FreeRepublic.
It is weird being the youngest patient, but I met some really beautiful older folks. It was surprising, despite illness and other problems, how how well they coped. Many if them had great sense of humor despite their afflictions. They really inspired me. The experience taught me not to feel sorry for myself, stop whining, and above all, be grateful for what I have and enjoy living.
Anyway, may God grant you a speedy and lasting recovery. Hope to see you here again soon.
Prayers sent.
Our Heavenly Father send your healing love to this man and his family. Comfort and strengthen them in their time of trouble. We thank You for Your Blessings.
AMEN
Have they checked your thyroid? I’ve read recently that hypothyroid and Rheumatoid Arthritis can go together.
Prayers for you to get well.
Love you. Take care and please continue to post here.
Hey good luck man. I’m really sorry to hear what you are going through and wish you a speedy recover.
I’ve often not agreed with some of your posts, but I know you have a lot of passion about politics and are committed to the conservative cause. Hope to have you back in fighting form as soon as possible.
Best of luck! Will say a prayer for you.
Gosh, how difficult a decision this must have been, but also a courageous one. Be assured that you will be in the prayers of your FReeper family.
A (somewhat) younger friend was recently in a nursing home/rehab facility. Hubby went for a visit and encountered a "seasoned" citizen who stated "We like it when there's visitors here...it makes everyone be on their best behavior!".
Keep your chin up and take in all the simple things.
My prayers go with you along whith hopes for a quick recovery.
Healing regards,
SF
I pray that you will heal and be rejoined with your family.
My prayers are with you.
May God bless you and watch over you and set a path for your recovery. May His grace lift your spirits and the spirits of those who love you.
I hope you have WiFi or some other sort of internet access and check in frequently with you friends here at Free Republic.
Prayers up for you and yours!
God loveya...you’re stronger than you realize.
Prayers for your prompt recovery-—docs don’t know everything-
Keep your thoughts positive. You have a great deal of moral support from your friends at FR.
God will hold you in His capable, loving hands while you mend.
Prayers. Although my mother is not as young as you, she has some of the same issues you describe and after 4 months is coming home after having an intensive rehab centered experience at a nursing home. Because it was rehab and didn’t exceed a certain number of days, her insurance picked up the tab. She will also be having a nurse visit 3x a week at home to make sure she’s doing what she needs to do to take care of herself. Sometimes we just forget what we need to do, and when they retrained many of her muscles, monitored her medications, and taught her certain techniques and how to make her bathroom more âuser friendlyâ , she improved immensely. She still has a few days to go there and they say she’s now like having another nurse working there for free. She travels around in her wheelchair on her own to conserve on energy needed to walk each day to check on each patient! There are some patients your age where she is and she says she enjoys talking to them and they seem well adjusted. There is a 25 year old who was in a severe accident and is a quadriplegic. She loves him and says “if only I were 50 years younger!” My moms issues were physical, not mental, sounding like yours and they’ve really helped her and she feels useful too!
Ping.
Prayers for you, dear courageous man.Perhaps keeping a journal will help...speedy recovery.
Hello FRiend. I’m praying that you will leave the facility whole, and able to resume a normal life with your young family. Keep up appointments with your doctor on the outside. Take advantage of rehab opportunities. With RA, no pain no gain. Keep in touch!
Oh my! Prayers and wishes for your improvement.
Prayers for your complete recovery. Prayers for your family as well.
