Red Chinese companies supply large portions of vitamins and other health supplement ingredients -- 80-percent of vitamin C comes from companies in Red China.
They are finally in court charged with price fixing.
Does anyone dare look at what is in the powders the commies ship here?
The companies charged with price fixing claim that the Communist government made them do it.

Well, I for one have no idea if 17 becquerel/cup is a lot or not so much, or how that stacks up to daily background exposure. So... The story does not have much actual information in it. It just has some data points that may or may not be interesting.

Found the old article below that contains additional background information on what once was an over $1 Billion/Year Japanese Tea Industry. Apparently the
Codex General Standard for Contaminants and Toxins in Food and Feed for Cesium Food Contamination is 1,000 Bq/kg for cesium-137 and 100 Bq/kg for iodine-131. Now the US has a higher standard of 1,200 Bq/kg. That is not higher as in better. Now compare that to the reported tea levels in your linked article.
Japanese Tea and Radiation
This page below has additional info as well as a link to the actual Codex in pdf format.
