Is This The Greatest Obituary Ever Published In The History Of Death?
Denver Post ^ | April 12, 2012 | Blanchard, Michael "Flathead"

Michael (Flathead) Blanchard

Blanchard, Michael (Flathead) 1944 ~ 2012

A Celebration of the life of Michael "Flathead" Blanchard will be held on April 14th, 3 pm 8160 Rosemary St, Commerce City. Weary of reading obituaries noting someone's courageous battle with death, Mike wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors' orders and raising hell for more than six decades. He enjoyed booze, guns, cars and younger women until the day he died.

Mike was born July 1944 in Colorado to Clyde and Ethel Blanchard. A community activist, he is noted for saving the Dr. Justina Ford house from demolition and defending those who could not defend themselves. He was a Republican delegate, life member of the NRA, founder and President of the Dead Cats MC. He loved music. Mike was preceded in death by Clyde and Ethel Blanchard, survived by his beloved sons Mike and Chopper, former wife Jane Transue, brother Stephen Blanchard (Susan), Uncle Don and Aunt Cynthia Blanchard(his favorite); Uncle Dill and Aunt Dot, cousins and nephews, Baba Yaga can kiss his butt. So many of his childhood friends that weren't killed in Vietnam went on to become criminals, prostitutes and/or Democrats. He asks that you stop by and re-tell the stories he can no longer tell. As the Celebration will contain Adult material we respectfully ask that no children under 18 attend.

Ex-squeeze me?

Shouldn't I be posting the obit of a mouthy n00b?

actually I found it sad.

Did he ever find time to wipe away his child’s tears, or did he tell the women to abort them all?

Did he ever bother to help his elderly neighbor by mowing their lawn, or help the single mom down the street by changing the oil in her car/

Did he ever hold the hand of someone dying?

Did he ever build a house, plant a tree, or find serenity fishing in a stream?

Did he ever go to church and whisper to God: Thank you?

Look, you are a lame-o. You post a thread that has already posted about a dozen times, then squeal when someone calls you on it, claiming some special privilege because this is 'YOUR THREAD'.

Maybe when you were a kid, all your teachers told you you were unique and special (thusly your screen name).

I've got news for you, Sparky. You are neither unique or special.

How do you know he didn’t do any or all those things?

I would not call this the greatest obit ever published. You should read some of the obits in the London Papers sometime, some of them are very entertaining and much better written.
Having said that I did think that obit was to the point and much less hypocitical than many I have read.
It was funny and I certainly would have liked to have met this guy.

All that is probably true

Yes, it is. To recap: "Look, you are a lame-o. "

Remember this every time you post. In fact, you should make this your tagline.

but why are you so uppity?

Because.

I don’t know if he did any of those things, and bless him if he did.

But I find it strange that those who loved him didn’t remember him for his loving care of others, but for his life chasing young women and drinking...

You need to reread the obit there were clues to what kind of guy he was. He was a pretty good person in other areas of his life.
