Thanks, I decided to just buy it from Amazon (they add each episode to my streaming videos folder). They got me hooked by putting a bunch of the previous seasons’ episodes out there as part of the free “Prime membership” material.

I like the British version better than the American version. The American version would be better if they replaced Tanner with someone who doesn’t irritate me.
Apparently there’s an Australian and Russian version of the show as well.

Amazon gives away the new U.S. episodes when you buy the U.K. ones - or at least they did last season. It's not as though the original show is in a foreign language; I really don't see what the U.S. and Aussie shows add to the franchise.
Maybe if they'd managed to snag Leno during his hiatus period, then the show would've been watchable. He'd be a natural for the "Clarkson" role, in a somewhat less curmudgeonly sort of way. Ah, well.

Leno would be good. I think Dennis Leary might not be bad in the place of Tanner but you really do need someone who really knows cars.
I never really had any appreciation for European cars but I've fallen in love with the Aston Martin since watching Top Gear.

With a car like that, you'd always smell of Connolly leather. An unfair "pheromonal" advantage. ;-)
BTW, if you like motorsports stuff, check out Eric Bana's movie, "Love the Beast". Interesting celebrity autobio/car freak story.

My apologies to Claus Wedekind from the University of Lusanne in the 1990s. Lol!
I didn’t read where Dr. Claus felt that the world was coming to an end because of the scents given off from women on the Pill!
