In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

1. to bask or warm in the sunshine or before a fireplace, stove, or bonfire.

2. (of wood) to season by exposure to heat.

3. Obsolete the act of basking or warming by a fire.

There was a foot of snow at Seven Springs yesterday. Some parts of the county got 8 or 9 inches.

Me? There was maybe an inch that was already melting when I got up yesterday.

Warren, OH, where xsbro and family live was forecast inches and got nothing really. The cold is bad enough without precip, but i am not complaining terribly bc i know in a veritable 5 min it is going to be hot and humid and i hate that far more.

Yeah they said we could have 2-4 inches on the ground. Now I don't know what to do with all the toilet paper I bought. ;-)

I think he’s probably more serious about someone not blocking the door to his garage. It looks like Cudahy, WI.

Well, yes, exactly. It’s to prevent people from parking and blocking his garage.

The town ballfields are across the street, so he surely has learned from experience.
