Life at home for one Florida man got a lot more complicated when he accidentally shot his girlfriend in both legs thinking she was a hog.
Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies say 52-year-old Steven Egan was hog hunting Saturday night with girlfriend Lisa Simmons at a hunting camp off a rural county road in Flagler, in the northern part of the state.
Around 7:30 p.m., officials said, Egan shot at a hog and then left Simmons behind in the tent to go look for it. When he heard a noise in the woods he fired his gun again, thinking it was the animal.
Unbeknown to Egan, Simmons had also left the tent to pick up loose oranges that had fallen from trees on the property. Instead of hitting his wild target, Egan struck his girlfriend in both legs with a .30-caliber bullet.
“He saw a hog and thought he shot it and went to look for it,” Maj. Steve Clair with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office told ABCNews.com. “He heard her and thought it was a hog and just shot.”

When I was hunting there were several people on my list of people I wouldn't allow to share a 100 acre tract with me. You can't cure stupid, you just have to avoid him..

Once the initial infatuation passes (one week max) it’s easy to mistake any girlfriend for a hog.
Remember the wise men saying: “Somewhere somebody is tired of her shit!”
I could see a Cheney/hunting skit here. “I thought he was a Marxist pig” and he shot Obama. Only when he finds he tagged Obama, he finishes the job.
I am bitterly disappointed that all Hell seems to break loose every time I leave for Maine. First Trayvon. Now this. You especially, Guru. Try and keep a better eye on things, will you?
Now for this month's instructions: In order to save taxpayer funds, I propose that the guy who shot the girl he thought was a pig also be tried for shooting that Trayvon Martin fellow. Since I believe Egan is a white man, that should satisfy everyone, including Al Sharpton. I know that I am on firm legal ground here, because Egan had at least as much to do with shooting Martin as that Zimmerman guy.

Justice will be done when the girl friend discovers what her boyfriend assumed her to be.

Oh, do remember to be especially kind to your Liberal friends (and we know you have some) because this is a very stressful time for them. Their Savior sassed SCOTUS and judgment is about to visited upon his sacred person. Not mention, his sacred agenda.
