"We have invited the Chinese navy to escort Titanic II on its maiden voyage to New York." I guess Mr. Palmer is looking to start a International incident. This isn't the first time Mr. Palmer has shown really poor judgment, he bought his daughter a 5 million dollar yacht for her 15th birthday.

I thought Cunard (the successor to White Star) already had plans to re-build the Titanic? Not that I thought it was a good idea at the time, but last I heard they were still considering going ahead with it.

If I were a billionaire, I’d build an exact replica of the Titanic...nothing modern in it, same amount of lifeboats, etc.—but it would be a tourist attraction. It wouldn’t actually sail. Titanic fans all over the world would flock to see it.
