..and do we have the numbers and the clout to pull it off?
Perhaps you just can't defend your argument and tried to blur and obfuscate in order to hide that fact. I'm still waiting for your explanation as to exactly how virtually all these conservative leaders such as Cheney, Rush, Hannity, Levin, Palin, Newt, Bork, Bolton, etc, etc, are somehow "suppressing" or "suspending" reason. I wonder if at some point it will occur to you that maybe their reasoning is just fine and it is yours that is faulty.
Ooops, sorry for the hiccup, damn centurytel:)
They both have records supporting gun control, Planned Parenthood, government mandates, socialized healthcare, cap&trade, global warming, government bailouts, indexing minimum wage, raising taxes on the “rich”, gay marriage, etc.
The only real policy difference I see is in where they define the “rich” for tax policy. Obama sets the line at $250k, whereas Romney defines it at $200k.
I’ll vote for conservative candidates. I will not vote for socialism...even with an R behind it. In my mind, Romney and those who supported him are traitors to the conservative cause.
>>I will not vote for socialism...even with an R behind it. <<
Then you vote for Marxism.
Did you miss where Obama told Putin to be patient until his “next election”?
Did you know that members of the Muslim Brotherhood are working in the administration on national security concerns?
Did you miss that two of our Supreme Court justices are getting up there in years? (ahem to be replace with Wise Latinas?)
How about the ‘Executive orders” skipping congress?
How about the Agencies like the EPA destroying lives?
Or the Justice Department looking away from “Fast and Furious” and the Black Pathers?
And you see no difference?
I live in Tampa. They are already trying to revoke conceal weapon laws and ban possession of a firearm. They are expecting a lot of occupiers. I’ll be there but don’t expect much.
about 2,000 miles for me
I took my daughter, 14
She sang the National Anthem and God Bless America...
Yes it is...funny Obama’s team trying to get it down ...I’ve seen others removed though, so am not surprised...I don’t think google is our friend as so often said.
“If not Romney ... then Obama. Sorry to say.”
You nailed it. One of those two will be prez after inauguration day 2013. PERIOD. Some here think there is a third possible outcome; pure silliness.
Our options are to vote for one of them, or vote for a third candidate or don’t vote for this office. But regardless of which option you pick, either Obama or Romney will be the next prez.
If you allow Obama to be re-elected, you support a socialist.
Thanks netmilsmom....someday I’ll take the time to put this stuff up myself...I ‘ve batted zero trying so far. Don’t have much patience with computers...ha!
I loved seeing our troops celebrate Bush being there....and their silence for Obama spoke volumes for sure.
BTW I go to JustinTV so if you want let me know if you get it up.
It was a special time, and a different America. I miss it.
By nominating their own pro-choice democrat socialist the Republicans have already ceded the election to Obama. Wake up.
“This will be the last election (ok free election) if BO wins.”
“People said that about Clinton, and also Bush. Looking to history, the hysterical little girls who said that were retarded.”
I remember reading that nonsense here in the days leading up to GWB’s inauguration. “Clinton wil never leave, he’s going to declare Marshall law.” There’s some great people here, but some kooky tin foil hatters as well.
There's one more...Noneoftheabovebots Or NOA's
No religious freedom
High gas prices
embryonic stem cell research
tax dollars for abortion
Tax dollars for birth control
Go ahead and support that if you want but I choose to use my vote on the best chance we have to overthrow this tyrant. One step at a time ... that’s the way I see it.
Nope...no difference. They are both liberal turds. oh...in case you didn’t know Romney’s record on appointing judges isn’t any better than Zero’s. In
By the way, save the Romneybot talking points for someone like yourself who easily caves to support anything with an R behind it. I don’t vacillate like Romney or the supposed “conservatives” who have whored out their integrity and principles to support a gun grabbing, socialism loving abortionist.
Although the Romneybots try to frame this election as a mutually exclusive event...that is just not the case. When did voting based principles become such a bad thing?
I’m a conservative first.
EV, I'm interested to know why you think Obama will win, other than the standard reasons we've heard. You've certainly been in this arena so I'd suspect you can see some of the plays before they happen.
Look, a candidate whose own supporters have to start every sentence with, “Yeah, I hate him too, but...” is doomed. It’s not rocket science.
I don’t know what EV’s answer is, but I think it is funny that the Obama campaign is trying to portray Romney as a right wing zealot, and there is a reason for that. If Romney is seen as a moderate, with the economy, esp the housing market, being as bad as it is, then states like Oregon and Washington will be in play, just like 1980. Thats why it is kind of funny that as Obama is calling him a right winger, conservatives are calling him a socialist. What a strange election cycle.
“Obama care”......brought you by Romneycare....socialism and govt. tyranny at its finest
“No religious freedom”.....like Romneycare forcing Catholics to provide contraceptives and abortion on demand?
“High gas prices”....like Romney supported in multple speeches as Gov of Mass?
“embryonic stem cell research
tax dollars for abortion
Tax dollars for birth control”.....just as it was laid out b the architect of socialized healthcare in America....Willard Romney
Must be nice to be able to flush your principles (assuming Romneybots have any) and vote for anything with an R behind it with relative ease.
Hear! Hear! And it is that simple....Romney's had more time than any other candidate to convince us he's more than what he has proven to be....he can't because there's nothing there substantial...and the people know it.
Here's food for thought as well.....
...."Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens.... They fall, when the wise are banished from the public councils, because they dare to be honest,... and the profligate are rewarded, because they flatter the people,.... In Order To Betray Them."
(Joseph Story,... Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833)
“Look, a candidate whose own supporters have to start every sentence with, Yeah, I hate him too, but... is doomed. Its not rocket science.”
100% agree. Can anyone point to a candidate that has won when a significant portion of their base has that opinion?
I think winning an election requires a motivated base...being the “ABO” candidate isn’t enough to win.
Independents vote. Your base campaigns. Winning without your base is almost impossible.
Those with one foot in both camps always get slaughtered when the shooting starts. It's predictable.
...”In matters of style, swim with the current;... in matters of ‘principle’...., stand like a rock.”......Thomas Jefferson
Sorry, but no.
Back Romney or you back Obama. The choice is yours.
The Republic is at peril.
LOL...blunt and to the point!
That is really a great one liner and says it all. EV got that one so right!
The calls I've been getting from Romneys foot soldiers say nothing about his policies...it's 'all' about taking out Obama...and with lots of hype about not letting him win another four.....this is the it of it...fear mongering comes across clearly.
The Republic is at peril.
The Republic is infinitely more imperiled by conservatives who have completely compromised all the principles of conservatism.
If we ignore our principles and vote in Romney, whose record is little better than Obama's, then the left will unite and unleash havoc. Probably claiming Romney "stole" the election, while we (the conservative right) will be divided. IMO, Romney WILL enslave us, if he must, to meet their demands. What's about to happen is straight out of the George Soros playbook for collapsing a country.
So, there's a bunch of trouble coming no matter who wins the presidency (if we make it that far). Our best option would be to unite and elect a strong conservative who will begin to turn the ship around. It still means blood in the streets. But a strong leader will see us through it and the country will emerge stronger on the other side.
Our second best scenario is if Obama is reelected. He will be a burden to the Left's agenda. Hell, Louis Farrakhan has already been making threatening statements about him. A second term Obama will unite the right like the British did at Concord.
The worst thing for conservatives, would be to elect a weak republican leader whose record on socialism, abortion, gun rights, taxation, and big government are little better than Obama's.
In any event, there's a lot that's going on in the world and much that will happen between now and November. May God be with us for we are in a dangerous time. Indeed, may we endeavor to be on God's side through these strange times.
I hope I'm wrong...
This Primary has shown
For better or worse,
That RINO Romney
Is just a slicker Obama:
The Tampa Convention
If open would be,
The place to make
Senator Jim DeMint
The Republican Nominee.
>>By the way, save the Romneybot talking points for someone like yourself who easily caves to support anything with an R behind it.<<
I’m a registered Independent. I don’t support anything with an R and have voted for dems before.
You can’t see the forest for the trees. You are blinded by your prejudgement of those who want Anyone but Obama. I don’t want my kids living under Sharia or Communism. You may not know anyone who has lived under either of those but coming from a Slovak Parish with many Chaldeans attending, I know both. They see it under Obama, not anyone else.
There will be no conservatives. Your principles will not put you into any better position. However, getting rid of the Marxist in the White House who is destroying us, will.
See the little “Google Analytics” that pops up on the side when you are using Ghostery? They are watching you, even here, and taking notes. Running headlong into Communism coupled with our Islamic enemies is foolish.
“Those with one foot in both camps always get slaughtered when the shooting starts. It’s predictable.”
Oh I agree, it is going to be interesting which side wins the argument though. At this point, most independents probably think both sides are nuts, but the economy still sucks, so who knows how it is going to turnout, not me.
IMO we need a general more than we need a President...either that or Gandhi with a shillelagh...
In my mind, I would love to ask the spirit of President Reagan one question.
Mr. President, have we passed the point where we, or our children, can expect to have any profitable intercourse with our government? Are we now in that state of affairs, described on the Declaration, when a patriot’s duty is to throw off their government and provide new guards for their future security?
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience [has] shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. Thomas Jefferson: Declaration of Independence, 1776. ME 1:29, Papers 1:429
“See the little Google Analytics that pops up on the side when you are using Ghostery? They are watching you, even here, and taking notes. “
It’s ok. I have tin foil surrounding my computer...
...and I’m still not voting Romney.
If you vote for a candidate who supports tax payer funded abortions, and socialized healthcare, etc.....you own it.
Great post, and explains the problem succinctly. If Obama was an ordinary can’t keep it in his pants dem like Clinton or just an idiot like Carter, this would be an easy decision more most of us, no Romney. The problem is that anyone with their eyes open realize that Obama is a true believer, and he wants nothing more than to bring America, and the whole free world, to its knees to atone for our supposed racist evil past. At this point a nut like Gore would make me sleep better at night. Knowing that someone that hates me and everything I stand for in the WH, I can’t just let him defeat me, and my children and grand children, without at least trying to do what little I can to stop him. Pretty interesting times we are living in, huh?
Yes, thank you!
I agree with your assessment, CC.
Oh good grief! What a mess our politics and politicians have become.
Though I'm not voting for either Romney or Obama...I have considered just how will I handle this election...I certainly won't help either but am accustomed to speaking politics when out and about. I feel like I have "lockjaw"...and will be simply a true "spectator" aside from voting down ballot and supporting those candidates.
Thank you for taking the time to inform yourself. If millions of conservatives will do the same, instead of continuing to follow the Republican false flags, we will be well on the way to putting this free republic back aright.
I'd like to nominate this man for both!
