Met a guy named Mike with an awesome Sigma lens on his camera. The sky near the horizon was good, but once she got up in the sky it was all high clouds.
Crappy viewing, but my dog was happy with the kids on the bridge by the boathouse patting her, so all is good in Garland.

Hi, West Texas Chuck—I’d forgotten about the Supermoon, but I really did notice it tonight from the inside of the house. Thanks for the reminder! I’m going out to get a picture. :)
Take care—I lived in TX for six months when I was younger—you couldn’t find any nicer people :) Actually, in general I loved talking with people from the South. Very friendly and polite (I was raised in Chicago). :)

Down further South, the haze from the Agricultural fires across the border kinda ruined the Supermoon. Now, it sounds like we may be getting some moisture (or maybe just thunder) coming off the Sierra Madres.

When I was a kid, the teenagers would “park” at White Rock Lake and as a “code word” they used to say they were going to White Rock Lake to watch the submarines surface. I was a dumb, little kid and I believed them. I always think of that when I hear someone mention White Rock Lake.

Are you the guy who found the turtle with his sons initials in its shell after 47 years?

I'll bet I'm the only one here that remembers "Moon Mullins".
