True. But I also don’t have to spend my waning moments at the mall.

That story is total bulls***. The most famous of those “Mayan skulls” was produced in China early in the 20th century and strategically placed in some ruins in Central America by an obscure archaelogist, to be conveniently “discovered” a short time later by his daughter-an ambitious scam, exposed a few years ago. None of those skulls pass the age test either-they are less than 200 years old.

I also saw a program on NatGeo showing how those things and other “artifacts” are produced-to-order in China and Taiwan and sold to well-heeled people, some of whom use them to perpetrate fraud. The program showed the step by step process of making crystal skulls, fake hominid bones, “prehistoric” pottery, etc. Apparently, there is quite the market for that stuff-undetectable as being fake unless the item is subjected to close scientific scrutiny.

Hey someone commented on another thread about how ole shemp smith is looking rough lately all of a sudden. I’ve not seen fox since the hockey playoffs have been on but I recall thinking he was looking old and drawn pretty much out of nowhere too. Have you noticed anything?

I’m back from getting some food and treats for Husky girl and the cats and some chicken to grill for me, and talking to my neighbor up the hill. It is raining off and on, with more predicted, and as dark as 8PM out...

If Obama’s sudden embrace
Of marriage by the same gender
Was an obtest to get more money
From every gullible idiot sender

I’m sure Cher must be swooning-
Her fag hag status status defined
Now she can believe she’s relevant,
But she’s a legend in her own mind

The rich syncophants who love Obama
And light candles to him every day
Can feed their egos till November
When they will have to go away

I don’t watch his show much, because he’s rude to everyone unless he is reporting on a sporting event, but I do think he is snarlier than usual, and his age IS showing. His ego is probably just crushed because he can’t be a counterfeit of youth any more...

A+ for you. We went to the shelter today to see a collie someone had found out on the Natchez Trace. He’s a sweet boy, relatively young but I don’t have any history on him. He has a very noisy toy poodle neighbor. He is a leaner, like our collies so I liked him right away. I brought my youngest out to meet him and asked the spouse to check him out too and everyone seems to like him, except the son who doesn’t want another dog. It’s not for him to decide anyway. He’s more of a cat person.

Thank you!

I hope you give the lucky collie a home-he sounds like a sweetie.

I have one dog and 4 cats, but don’t see myself as really partial-I love both dogs and cats. But I do like having only one dog, because I like the high-energy, large, protective ones, and they need a lot of attention to keep them civil. Having cats and a dog that like each other is a must, though because I don’t want a cat to get eaten.
