Skip to comments. Is Romney Scared To Vet Rev. Wright's Connection To Obama?

Mitt Romney tied one arm behind his back today when he repudiated efforts to make an issue of the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his connection to a former member of his congregation, Barack Obama.
Running a campaign much like that of failed 2008 Republican nominee, John McCain, Romney has taken an important issue off the table this election cycle. It is an issue that goes to the deep roots of Obama's character.
Wright is arguably most famous for saying, The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing God Bless America. No, no, no, God damn America!"

RINOs disgust me.
Wright. I can’t even spell the crazy guys last name!
Rev Wright should be highlighted even more this time around. Obama’s policies can be directly tied to Wright’s Black Liberation Theology. Totally fair game.
Romney is McCain II.
5 days after 9/11, Obama’s filthy friends threw a party to celebrate 3,000 Americans being burned alive, crushed to death, or leaping to their deaths from 1,000 feet to avoid the flames. I have been to WEDDINGS!!!!!!!!!!! where there was not half as much joy on display as shown by those pieces of filth in O’s church as they celebrated 9/11. They were transported with rapturous ecstasy, numb with joy and throbbing with delight as they partied and screamed. And this is supposed to be off the table?
The idiot GOP consultants are blinded by their polls that tell them everyone loves Barry personally. What they can’t grasp is everyone lies about liking Obama because they think admitting they can’t stand the guy is the same as admitting you are a racist.
Romney took his dog on vacation 40 years ago, and this is relevant and important. Obama went for 20 years to a church where 9/11 was an occasion for orgasmic ecstasy, and that is irrelevant and unimportant.
Romney does not have to do it. Others will. He can even say in public that he would not support any group going after the Wright issue but that would not stop that group from doing it and Romney can always say that he does not control this group... This is called politics. He did the same when his super pacs attacked and destroyed his opponents during the primaries...
why??? there are a ZILLION other things to trash obama with; his divisiveness, belligerence, failed economic record, lies, etc over the past three years....
most Americans could care less about Wright- ayatollah obama can be bludgeoned into the ground with his complete failures from the past three years....i’m not a Romney fan but tactically this was probably the smart move...
The EXACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! same thing happened during that sub-human piece of filth Clinton’s presidency! “I’ll tell the pollsters I like Clunton so that I show how I am not a prudish, uptight white guy when it comes to sexual perversion.”
Rinomby can’t criticize a religious doctrine or their leaders because of his own belief.
Could it be that Romney is trying to take religion off the table since he is Mormon? If so, it won’t work. Dems will eviscerate him on the mormon issue.
Rev. Jeremiah Wright is a TRAP , don’t fall for it
FRiend, every single issue is lost with ROmney.
Romney associated polyamory (it does not matter
if he is different because the MSM will
unload it as the Oct. surprise).
Coverups of criminal actions.
Destroying Constitutions (ROmney did THAT to
impose his agenda).
and did we mention, LYING?
"if history has taught us anything, it's that you can vet anyone"
Romney probably figures if he gives Obama a pass on Wright he will get a pass on Mormonism. Of course, he figures incorrectly.
"Mr. Wright says Mr. Obama possessed an Islamic background and despite his conversion to Christianity has never abandoned his Muslim roots." more at the link above...
I don’t see how this is a winning issue for Romney. He needs to hammer him on the economy and his record. Let the surrogates handle this stuff.
