What those of the Republican Party who are not followers of Christ do not understand is that as a follower, it is impossible for us to stand before the Savior who died for us and explain how we could publicly support someone who is a liar, has the blood of the innocent unborn on his hands, and supports homosexuality, which our Lord God hates.
Here's the amazing thing. I have absolutely no idea if you're talking about Romney or Obama. That's the heart of the problem right there.

as much as I don't like Romney, he is far smarter than Obama. And that is precisely what makes Romney a more dangerous prospect than four more years of the kenyan.

Last night it became totally clear how to explain why I won’t vote for Ronney. Here is the crux, the end all, reason:
WHICH ONE WOULD GOD VOTE FOR? Neither one so I won’t, either.

I don’t think Romney wants to be saddled with any conservative, or with the presidency, for that matter. he has already showed some McCainian signs of throwing the election.

I think it will most likely be useful idiot wanabe important people. It will be the old man or old lady trying to be important via affiliation. It will be the local political candidate potential person.
They will not be thinkers. They will be tantamount to senile with misguided harmlessness.

If you dont vote for Romney, thats one less vote adding up to beating the less desirable incumbent. Yeah, youre not voting for either, we get that ... but were gonna get the O if you dont. Too late, don't you see?..... The GOP are the ones who have handed this to Obama by forcing Romney on voters...the buck stops right there....you cannot blame voters who are not supporting either candidate. .........Both doors lead to the same outhouse.
...I will not consent to either..... It's like asking a woman which method of abortion, the end result is the death of the baby.

Just an extrapolation of the same one who gave us numerous examples of condemning those who refrained from action, preferring to do nothing and thus facilitating evil. Good Samaritan, Parable of the Talents, various others ... sound familiar?
Upshot: if you don’t vote for Romney, it’s that much easier for Obama to win. But then maybe you’d prefer that outcome...

I'll add a fourth item to your list, xzins, from
a post I made back in March :
" ... if Romney continues to show weakness in the polls and his ultimate RNC nomination proves likely to fracture the party ... the GOP elite will be more inclined to fracture the DNC party rather than abandon the investment they've made in him. Loosening the strings on the bag of cats that is Obama's eligibility problem would provide just such a fracture. Watch for a cat to be permitted to sneak out of the bag as Romney's performance continues lackluster."
The cats are seeing a glimpse of daylight lately. We are the trail blazers and we serve our purpose ... appreciated or not. To your analogy, ctdonath2, we are trying eat right and exercise so we can avoid all the things you describe, including the congestive heart failure. Supporting Romney is akin to sitting in front of the television with a bag of chips hoping nothing bad will come of it.

Well just have to settle for watching the liberals weep tears of unfathomable sadness when the Kenyan loses.
Bollywood tears ... all for show. Romney *is* a liberal. They win either way. It doesn't feel nearly so satisfying to watch them weep once you figure out you've been gamed ...

At what point did only the "dog eating" commies become unacceptable to conservatives? I don't support the commies that don't eat dog either.

Thanks for pinging me to this thread Padre. I got lost a bit in the articles analogy, for when I watched the Matrix trilogy, even the 7th or 8th time, all I got out of it was entertainment. I guess I must have a simple mind, as with most movies I watch I only look for escape.
It is somewhat ironic, since Jim announced the "truce" that those of us who have decided for what ever reason not to support Mr. Romney have become objects of derision and treated to invective in these threads. The forum has come a long way in just a few weeks.
I don't take issue with those who support Mr. Romney, for any reason they choose. But I sure don't understand or appreciate that here on JR's absolutely Conservative forum so many seem to want to turn it into a Republican medium. As I stated in a previous thread, it is apparent to me that quite a few of the Republican faithful have become Conservative In Name Only - CINO's.
But as long as JR allows it, who am I to complain? I simply won't cross sabres with them.
Again thanks for the ping.

You: "What does one's apprehension of the fleet have to do with all this?"
LOLOL. Well...um...{{thinking thinking trying to recover}}...it's necessary in understanding the SECRET Navel fleet that usually stays under cover...under wraps...an omnipresent fleet only visible to TSA machines and Mad Magazine mail-order Xray vision sunglasses...a fleet that gets around as it pleases by day buttoned up in a sea of darkness...hiding in plain view yet out of the harsh sun of day...growing in size with over-fuling...stealthly gathering something called a codeword "lint"...to be used for secret, unknown and yet-understood Naval purposes....
