The problem with Terra Nova was that they developed it to be a show that Grandma could watch with her 8-year old grandson. The scripting was something that a 15-year old kid would write and there were barely one single twist per show (unlike Lost which typically had fifteen twists in a one-hour piece).

I suspect that by the fifth episode...the crew knew it was a loser and just accepted it.

I really like Grimm. :)

Yes! Grimm is one of the few really original concepts out there.

Also love Person Of Interest — but I wonder if it can sustain it’s quality.

I do have to say I almost fell off my chair when Reese paid tribute to “Vengeance Unlimited” in the season finale. His “have a chocolate” was almost word-for-word Michael Madsen’s line lifted from Vengeance.

Speaking of summer fill-ins, it is too bad ABC has never released “Vengeance” on DVD — the bootlegs leave a lot to be desired and the Vengeance cult (raises hand) would snap up DVD releases.

Bones is headed to the ash-bin, mark my words.

Fringe still hangs in there — surprise return of Nimoy as nemesis may have helped.

NCIS is losing it and NCIS LA never had it — leftist twaddle.

We have been wondering why so many series are shot in Canada, especially BC. Is it that much cheaper to shoot up there or is there just such a varied landscape available?

JJ Abrams seems to have a format he repeats in every series. Still, he can hook an audience, even if everything seems to run out of steam, eventually. I thought the ending for Lost was pure desperation. It is like many first novels or even high school creative writing projects: it was all a dream? What a disappointment.

My wife did watch "Desperate Sluts" as I called it, the rest are totally unknown.

Same here. Part of my evening entertainment is watching the wife foam at the mouth whenever "Housewives" is mentioned.

You never let me play with the trolls.

I woke up this morning looking forward to swatting one around, and it's gone. ;)

"NCIS too. They could do without Jamie Lee Curtis. She is so silly."

I agree. I stopped watching when that nitwit came on the scene. Same thing over on NCIS:Los Angeles. As soon as Mel Ferrer made the scene, I exited. Stupid networks can't stop TINKERING!

I find it ironic that Supernatural is heading to Season 8 and Castle is heading to Season 5.

Both were nearly cancelled at the ends of their first seasons.

A lot of fans have been trying to get “Legend of the Seeker” renewed for a third season.

You have Freepmail.

The troll is gone, I should have toyed with it last night while it was still here.

I watched the first episode of ‘Harry’s Law’ and that made up my mind - good to see them go.

My wife watched that show. I sat through one episode and caught bits and pieces of a few others. It seemed like little more than a venue to argue liberal talking points.

They do take a clue, most shows bleed viewers season after season, actually even episode to episode. The ones that gain are rare. Networks don’t have the cash to “give a series a chance”, it ain’t the 70s anymore, there’s more competition and their margins are smaller. Back in the day when a “struggling” show still would place 3rd in its time slot and have a solid 10 million viewers they had the money to give it another season. Now a “struggling” show winds up 30th in its time slot and gets 2 million viewers. No time. And its made worse for them because the cable channels are often happy with 2 million viewers, they have less overhead.

It seems to be a lot cheaper because of non union labor. That’s why Michael Moore did his post production work in Canada. A little ironic, huh?

Confession time....My name is Irish Pennant. I watch TV every night. I have a relatively high IQ (Yet low sloping forehead) and a high paying job. I drive a nice car and do lots of hobbies such as hunting, fishing, wood working, auto shop on my and other peoples cars, and yet frind plenty of time to FReep.

Sadly, I admit to absolutely LOVING TELEVISION...Born in '62...It's in my blood. It was at one point my babysitter, my friend, and even today, the thing I fall asleep to.

However, I somehow find the time to watch network TV shows every night and somehow, unbelievably, remain extremely productive and intelligent. - Hell, I'll even confess to watching the NASCAR All-star race right now while still having the mental capacity to browse Free Republic at the same time....yes I know it reduces my IQ by at least 10 points, or maybe 5 horse power.

I give full permission to any FReepers who knows me personally to come shoot me in the throat if I ever post "I do not own a television and only get my news from FR or Ham Radio". Lord, how that makes me sick.

A body that lives in this amazing time where we can share like minded conversation by transmitting our thoughts through our fingers across continents in mil-seconds, but thinks new fangled things like TV news and entertainment is beyond their wanna-be persona of "Jeremiah Johnson" should log off, go cut logs and tan a bear hide or too.

I really got into Awake. I don’t know where they could have gone with the premise, but it was a fascinating show.
