Richard Wright may be the most underrated rock keyboardist of all time. Not the least bit flashy, he was OK with setting "the mood" and is probably more responsible for the "Pink Floyd Sound" than anyone else.

But I can't imagine any of their songs without him.

I can’t believe no one’s mentioned Ronnie Van Zant.

I can’t think of her without calling her “Ann Margrock.” As a kid, my first reference to her was through the dang Flintstones!

Or Danny Joe Brown.

If you want late-50’s/early 60-’s straight-up rock-n-roll, Brian Setzer is making it the old-fashioned way.

Not the one I would want to post, but can’t find a decent quality of No Help Wanted.

Another gem is Kacey Jones (a womsn) Sings Mickey Newbury.

Just listened to some James Hunter stuff. He’s cool, love the jazzy sound. Tanks again for the links.

Funny, your reply rings of a 16 year old that was jilted because someone didn't appreciate the same "music" as they do.

:)

Chambers does indeed conjure up Krauss. She’s talented and pleasing to the ears, and well worth the .99 d/l. Interesting direct distribution channel working- I had no idea.

Before I was old enough to be going to concerts (grammar school) I saw Yes with Wakeman, Buford, Anderson, Howe, and Squire. It was amazing. Howe is still my favorite guitarist. Love King Crimson as well.

Another one we lost as a young man was Michael Hedges.

Love King Crimson as well.

When I got my electric guitar, the first song I wanted to play on it was "Red."

As far as band membership goes, with Bill Bruford, never say never (with the possible exception of Genesis). But he did announce that he was finished touring.
