Way cool— I like it—sits high up. Looks like fairly low maintenance too.

To: Doogle
Looked at all the images. Unique is right. Could be a hard sell, but then again, it is very nice.

It’s really cool but really, really weird.
It’d be nice for a week’s vacation but long-term you’d probably get weary of its weirdness.
To: Doogle
I was curious how a one-bedroom house could be “cavernous” and I guess this is how.

>>Stunning house! He deserved it!<<
The late Mr. Clark clearly had one heck of a sense of humor.
I can almost see him chortling every time he went into the kitchen (and yes, I am sure he thought about a mechanical elephant hose).
He was a national treasure — Jan 1 will never be the same.

Could be a hard sell, but then again, it is very nice.
With 23 acres and the view I suspect it will sell easily especially if the property isn’t restricted against building another home on it.

I thought the same thing. For the price, even of you bull doze the home, it’s an awfully nice area. Or use the house a guest house and build something similar to complement it, without being so Flintsonian.

I’ve occasionally thought about building a home kind of like that. Now I know I shouldn’t bother. I don’t find it attractive, nor very homey. I think it would get old. LOL.

The views are stunning but check out the master bedroom. I would feel like the walls were closing in on me and I’m not really claustrophobic. I guess it is “to each his own” type of style.
To: Doogle
I’m just not fond of the overwhelming beigeness of it. I don’t especially like beige as a dominant color. Plus, I just removed a crapload of termite-infested wood on a remodel I am doing and frankly, it looks like a huge termite-eaten piece of wood, with the people living in the tunnels.

That would be the value of this home. Somebody who can afford 23 acres in Malibu would be able to afford the lawyers to quickly get permission to tear this down and build something else.
I’ve seen this home in some home magazines. I don’t recall it ever being owned by Dick Clark.

It doesn't get more American than this. A self made millionaire and a true individual.
I'm a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and "Car Hendge" and this sort of marries the two, along with a big heaping bowl of Cocoa Pebbles on the kitchen table.

I absolutely LOVE that house, and it is just the right size. Would make a marvelous turn-key home.
I would need someone to take care of the "low maintenance" landscape.
