A few points: 1. Contraception is a leftist ploy to break down the family, faith in God, and all of society. 2. Freepers and Americans who use it need to repent to God. 3. The states need to ban it. 4. There is no right to contraception. 5. Contraception leads to abortion. 6. Stop sexual immorality.

1. Contraception is a leftist ploy to break down the family, faith in God, and all of society.

Based on what (even flimsy) analysis and/or evidence? The Catholic Church's dogma? No thanks.

2. Freepers and Americans who use it need to repent to God.

Why? Because you say so?

3. The states need to ban it.

I think the states need to require Catholic hospitals give out contraceptives and free abortions. What? You don't like it when the states force crap down your throat?

4. There is no right to contraception.

It's not a right, it's simply an exercise some people engage in for many different reasons. Who beyond Sandra Slut and Obama said it was a right?

5. Contraception leads to abortion.

Invalid logic error: DIV BY 0

6. Stop sexual immorality.

Ummm...OK. Done.

The only one waging a war now on contraception besides yourself is Obama trying to equate it to abortion as a marketing tactic. He is trying to spin the opposition to abortion as the same as opposing condoms or the pill.

Or is that who you who are answering to?

Considering how you are twisting Bible verses, you seem to remind me of a divinity PHD I know who is a huge Obama supporter and does this kind of crap all the time to make Right Christians look nuts.

Have you heard of MOBY trolling?

The end result with both is a rejection and denial of sperm to the ovaries. That is the definition of contraception my FRiend.

Good point. I Am Pimp seems to be more like a cartoon character than a misguided idiot.

Does being a Furry qualify as contraception?

Even one with smooth moves?

Genesis 38.

To be consistent, then God should instantly zot anybody who uses contraception in any form, even Onan's method?

I got to put my interpretation here fwiw. Judah's eldest son, who was the "first born" and therefore heir to be head of the family, died childless. The levirate custom, which was practiced in Canaan in those days, required that the dead man's brother take his widow and attempt to give her offspring. While this might have been a form of "social security", its main purpose was to have the new child "step into the shoes" of the dead brother.

The Scripture says, "Onan knew the seed would not be his", so he withdrew prematurely, "lest he give seed to his brother." He would have been reasoning this way: "If I take my brother's widow, and she never gets pregnant by me, then I inherit the pot and my own kids, by my own wife, will get it after me. But if Tamar gets a child, then he gets the pot and my own kids play second fiddle to HIM!"

True, but tough tacos. Onan was second fiddle to start with, but this got him kicked out of the orchestra.

Yeah, the real lesson in Genesis 38 is DO WHAT GOD TELLS YOU.

Oh hang on ... is the Barnabas gospel the one that predicts the “return of the prophet Mohammad”?

Thuper. You are really off the tracks.

I was going to say concern troll. Thank you for the informative link.

It just struck me as something a DUer would post here hoping to get us to say, “Oh yeah! OUTLAW contraception!”

I have just researched Moby troll as the term was new to me. You can judge by my long posting history on a variety of topics that I am not a Moby troll. That being said I plan on discussing contraception and other things that make establishment RINOs very, very uncomfortable.

Do I make you uncomfortable? Are you a moderate?

Uncomfortable, no. Laughing at this idiotic attempt at trolling, yes. Moderate, nope, I’m not the one calling for more government intervention here.

Oh and your posting history, nice evolution from concern troll to moby troll but all the same, other than a few token Praise Jesus moments, nothing of substance other than throwing out some lines the left can ridicule the right with.

Most of the right wing is Evangelical and Protestant, and I don't think they are anti-birth control, isn't forbidding contraception mostly a Catholic issue?

With freedom of religion ... it’s your choice if you think that your religion requires you to avoid contraception ... and that’s fine as you choose for yourself. But, with others, they do not have that requirement in their religious practices and observances - so they choose to do differently than you.

And under the First Amendment with the freedom of religion - which protects all religions and not just one denomination or one doctrine of a particular religion - that means that the GOVERNMENT is not going to make a law requiring that all other religions OBSERVE YOUR OWN RELIGIOUS PRACTICE.

Buddhists may have a different position than you say for yours. Wiccans may have a different position, too. Earth-worshippers may have a different one. Scientologists may have a different one. Hindus may have a different one. Atheists may have a different one.

I hope you see that a particular religious doctrine that you feel you MUST ADHERE TO ... is NOT GOING TO BE MADE A PUBLIC LAW and force all the other religions to adhere to your own doctrine.

If you can’t see that, then you’ve got bigger problems here than just that one religious doctrine.
