” Judge not, lest we will be judged”.
The Gospel according to
Judging Others
Lk. 6.37,38, 41,42
1. Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Mk. 4.24
3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
6. ¶ Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

This is pretty clear. We do not know enough to make righteous judgment about others.
God knows!
>> “This is pretty clear. We do not know enough to make righteous judgment about others” <<
.
Then why are we told:
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Here is another, from my favorite poet:
"It is no use to grumble and complain;
It's just as cheap and easy to rejoice;
When God sorts out the weather and sends rain
Why, rain's my choice."
~James Whitcomb Riley~
That’s a lovely poem, yorkie..Thank you!
Thankfulness just makes the worst of times go better for me.
The older I get..the more grateful I become..
For that I am thankful.

Conor, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the King’s Singers, singing, “It’s A New Day”! I love acapella, and they are very, very good! Thank you! Hope you are having a good week!
Conor, when I was a little girl, my father would make it a “VERY” special occasion, to take me and my brothers to the yearly performance of the Barbershop Quartet. Guess that is where I learned to love the male acapella.
(((”HUGS”))) back at’cha!
I REALLY enjoyed looking for this for you, Conor! (And even MORE - finding it!)

I got my first introduction to “The Music Man” when I was a sophmore in high school. It was my first year in Choir and for our Fall Concert, we sang a selection of songs from “The Music Man. Loved the story behind the musical and I still remember the songs we sang.
Thanks for nudging my memories. I’ll probably be singing some of those songs in my sleep tonight. <;^)
In June 2011, when disastrous flood- waters chased residents of Minot, North Dakota, from their homes, the people of that community did what seemed to come naturally to themthey helped others who were in need. People from more than an hour away, without being asked, showed up to help. Some loaned their campers to those who lost their homes and others allowed their garages to be used for temporary storage. The people of North Dakota were showing what it means to be good neighbors.
As followers of Christ, being good neighborsshowing love to othersshould come naturally to us as well (Matt. 22:39; John 13:35; 1 John 4:7-11). Even though we may not have the opportunity to respond in a dramatic way to a natural disaster, we can all look for ways to love those around us. To be good neighbors, we can show others mercy (Luke 10:29-37), treat others fairly (Lev. 19:13-18; James 2:1-8), speak to others truthfully (Eph. 4:25), and forgive others completely (Eph. 4:32; Col. 3:13).
Christians can be the best neighbors around because our love for others flows out of the life of the ultimate neighborJesus Christwho loved and sacrificed His life for us.
Read: Luke 10:29-37
Last evening I was watching a group of Four men(all pastors) that are airing a program on going for the benefit of today’s Pastors ... one of the questions was how do we love God? And how do we love our neighbor?
The Ten commandments was the guide, the first 5 Commandments are how to love God.
************************************************************
Exodus 20
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Ten Commandments
And God spoke all these words, saying:
I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
1. You shall have no other gods before Me.”
2. You shall not make for yourself a carved imageany likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is inthe earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.”
4.Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”
5 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

- and the next five are about how to love our neighbor.
1. You shall not murder.
2. You shall not commit adultery.
3. You shall not steal.
4. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
5. You shall not covet your neighbors house; you shall not covet your neighbors wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbors.

We all have know these verses for most of our lives.
How to love God ... do the first 5 Commandments.
How to love our neighbor, do the last five commandments.
It is not in the hearing and knowing, learning them; but in the doing of them. ...
Mull it over ...
