Rielle Hunter, in a gossipy new memoir, calls the cancer-stricken wife of her lover, former presidential candidate John Edwards, a "witch on wheels" and claims that while they were furtively seeing each other he lied about having three other mistresses at the same time, according to a new report.
Hunter, who has a four-year-old daughter with Edwards, says she wrote the book, "What Really Happened," to give young Frances Quinn "one entirely truthful public account of how she came into the world. After all, this is her story too."
ABC News reported Monday that it had obtained a copy of the book, which will be released June 26. Hunter also will appear in an interview on ABC's "20/20" Friday.

Rielle is going to defend John’s personal motivations at great personal cost to herself, revealing his heartache with Elizabeth and how she treated him, before she was ever diagonosed with a terminal illness.
Possibly Elizabeth was never the same after the loss of their young son, but from a human point of view, enough has been reported on background that John Edwards was trapped and miserable in his marriage to an ambitious tyrant, who reportedly embarrassed him with some regularity in front of staff and others.

Wow, you are really whitewashing a man who was am extreme narcissistic in a destructive way. Elizabeth and John found each other for a reason. He’s a really sick man, and her problems don’t excuse his. Even Kerry eventually found him to be a disturbing creep.
OOPS. Meant to add that Rielle should not call Elizabeth names in the process of describing John’s experiences with Elizabeth, considering her own role in making Elizabeth miserable and even more desperate.
The reports that intrigued a litte were those of the rather unmanageable Elizabeth before there ever was a Rielle, or the unfavorable diagnosis.
It was a cast of three unstable charactors.
I do have some pity for John Edwards, and agree with you on his clinically proportioned narcissism. It is not his behavior I excuse, but his condition.
I guess I believe it was a form of madness, gone quite untreated, if it can even be treated—a lost soul, and easy prey for a New Ager like Hunter, with her own father issues.
Edwards may well be the cause of Elizabeth’s tyrannical behaviors during their marriage, but they weren’t good for each other at some point, for some unknown reason, before the diagnosis and the affair.
The chicken or the egg, maybe is the question, as in who drove the other mad first? And the sad loss of the son is a factor. It is not unheard of that the loss of a child can be the seeming catalyst for divorce of the parents.

Look, I know about Elizabeth’s politics and all, but my friend knew her well As A Mother and says she was a very good, devoted, loving mother. She wanted to do right be her children above all else, and she had lost her first born when he was only 16. I can’t imagine. And she had to leave before she was done raising her two youngest.

Elizabeth was Hillary X 2. She knew about the affair and she still was out an about on TV and the campaign trail, campaigning for her husband whom she knew didn’t have a shot in hell at the presidency. But she did have plans for a massive house in Chapel Hill that needed funding. Yes, she’s dead and I hate it for her and her kids... but she was still a Class ‘A’ witch.
