How GOOGLE Glasses Could Revolutionize the Porn Industry

The new ‘Google Glasses’ could be great for point-of-view porn, and Pink Visual thinks so as well. According to a spokesman:

‘Obviously, a device that allows you to shoot high quality video in a truly hands-free fashion will make shooting POV porn that much easier.

‘To really know their full potential, we’ll need to get a pair to play around with, but we’re already dreaming up ways to use the glasses to get shots (sex-related and otherwise) that just aren’t feasible using a traditional camera setup.’

The ‘Google Glasses’ playing point-of-view porn, coordinating usage with the Fleshlight (Enter in the code name ‘Rogan’ to get 15% off) would be the ultimate virtual reality experience.

Face it, Porn drives the industry. It was the first media widely available on CD, when CD drives first appeared on the home PC. You couldn’t buy much software, Hollywood hadn’t even considered this media as a possibility - but Porn was there.

Internet ... along with the first dial up Bulletin Boards, there were sites for Porn.

DVD? Yup, porn.

Virus, Trojans and Worms .... yup, porn too.

On the bright side, the side-effects of the Porn industry is that the demand for their products have made technological advances popular, and driven the price down so the average consumer can easily afford them. Those CD/DVD drives that are now standard, the internet, and all the bad things that go with them - got their start through porn.

Why would we expect these new “Glasses” to be any different?

I agree that technology and porn go together. However, I don’t think that porn drives the technology. The porn industry is just usually the first to take advantage of the technology. Most technology has a myriad of applications that do not involve porn and that is what drives its development.

A computer vendor I worked for got the very first 486 computer in town, and the first thing the senior tech did was load up the hard drive with a graphic slide-show of porn (cshow displaying gifs), so that when it booted, it would go right into cshow. All us techs at the shop got a good laugh at it, shut it down, and we went to lunch. When we got back, the computer was gone. One of the sales reps had boxed it up and took it out to a major fortune 500 corporate client. He just set up the computer in a conference room, turned it on, and went on to see some of his contacts at the company. When he got back to the conference room, it was so packed with people watching the slide show he couldn't get into the room! Luckily this was back in the day before people discovered a quick way to financial security was to sue for sexual harassment. The people at that company never let him forget it.

And don't forget VHS tapes.... And the VHS tape rental industry. And now the movement from physical media (tapes, dvds, bluray) to Internet streaming. The new Netflix streaming business model came directly from the porn industry.
