If God wanted us to 'know all' he could make a video and splash it across the sky for all to see... He has His reasons for doing things the way their done. I really like your answer, onyx. We'd all be wise to follow your advice.
Read it again ... you’ll see I had nothing to say to a person ... but to an institution and a religious organization and about theological doctrines. This is about teachings and doctrines.
And furthermore, if you can find a spot where I indicated hate to a person ... directing it to him personally, I would like to see that. Just quote it for me.
As far as doctrines and institutions and theology is concerned - that’s completely open for ample criticism - which Jesus did himself - and I’m more than happy to supply you with some words of his - which some here would definitely consider to be “hateful” ... :-)
But, really ... I think if you want to get into these theological issues - as others have said and pointed out - the place to do it is on the Religious Forum - and I would be happy to go into it over there for you. And we’ll do it within those guidelines that they have over there - which are very good guidelines and I adhere to them and agree with them!

Ditto here with regard to affection for Quix. I learned a lot from Quix in how to be a better FReeper. Ironic that he seems now to have been drawn toward the very path I once admired him so much for bypassing. Quix, if you're reading, my prayers are with you; I hope you come home.

Some people conflate the 9/11 Truther stuff with the “one-world government” stuff ... and they are not the same. I hope you’re not doing that, when you say that. I never saw any (of the 9/11 Truther stuff) and I also was aware of his “reasoning” behind some of that thinking that he presented.
Now, I say “reasoning” - because it was from a Biblical, prophetic, Evangelical and some would say “Dispensational” standpoint - where you’ll find ample information about the coming “one-world government” of the Anti-Christ, who is destroyed - at the end - by the coming of Jesus Christ - who comes down to earth, defeats him and his world-forces - and his government - and then sets up the new and righteous government - based on Jesus himself - here on this earth.
Now, that is pretty well established in Christian circles - and when you talk about that “religious theology” - in terms of the world politics of today - a person could get that confused with the 9/11 Truther information.
I’m totally against the 9/11 Truther crowd (who seem composed of the Ron-Paulites ... LOL ...). And they’re a disgrace. But, with OTHERS who don’t go down that track of the 9/11 Truthers saying that it was Jews who did the attack, or the Mossad, or the US Government itself who attack “us” - or some variation of that — those “others” (namely not the 9/11 Truthers) do talk about the one-world government and how that’s going to come about.
Now, when all is said and done - that’s what is going to happen - that there is going to be this one-world government who tries to impose it’s mark and control over everyone on this globe. That’s going to happen and it does seem to be come closer to fruition right now - but that’s not what I call “9/11 Truther” stuff.

Normally most things don’t bother me much, but when I read what Quix had written, I got to worrying, A LOT!
You see, I live in Texas too, but Quix was writing about distance from the Coast, and all, and well, - - - ? What if he knows something that we don’t?
You don’t suppose that he is talking about Global Warming, no can’t use that old term anymore, I meant CLIMATE CHANGE melting the World Wide Ice, (WWI), and causing The Gulf of Mexico to rise up and smite TEXAS do you?
That would be just awful! Golly gee! What have we ever done to bring on the wrath of Quix?

Each vote is an oar in the water helping guide the direction of this ship of state. Not voting at all is pulling the oar out of the water. Voting for Romney or voting for Obama, because one of the two is virtually certain to win, is voting to continue the ship's leftward course.
Because both Romney and Obama will continue a leftward coure of the same heading, an official third-party vote at the top of the ticket (no write-in for me because I know that a write-in risks some official disqualifying my ballot on the slightest pretense), by any American who does it, liberal or a conservative, will be one more oar serving to bring the ship to a more rightward course.
At the top of the ticket in 2012, you can vote to move things left (Romney or Obama), or you can vote to restrain the leftward course by weakening the victory of whichever leftist wins.
Stop thinking in terms of what you're voting against and accept the fact that you can only vote FOR something.
