There's A Cat In The Omega Nebula (You won't believe this)

Find the bright star in the (upper) blue portion of the nebula. Look straight down and you can see the tip of the cat's left ear.
Look down and to the left, and you can see two perfectly symmetrical eyes, with a perfectly formed feline nose between them, exactly where you'd expect it to be.
It gets even weirder. Look above the cat's right eye and you can faintly see its right ear sticking up. If you can now clearly see the face of the cat, look to your right and you will see its entire body.
Even spookier....I can even see the spotted markings on the cat's face, and whiskers.

I don’t see the cat. Is it in the part of the picture where the Spanish Inquisition is hiding?

The weirdest part is that, this is a mother cat, and the kittens are hidden behind the mother, where we can’t see them, but, they’re there. We just need to get at a different angle to see them. Perhaps the next picture will reveal them, when they move around to the front of the mother.

There are two versions of the cat’s face..straight on, then looking to it’s left. On the cat’s right is a version of a dog/wolf face....amazing. Popped right out.

Needed the help of the outlined image posted to the thread to see the cat. Interesting. You can also see a small jackal-like Egyptian head to the right of the cats right ear. Use that ear as the smaller jackal head ear.

Not surprising, given the meaning of the word 'nebula.'

Needed the help of the outlined image posted to the thread to see the cat The outlined image on the thread doesn't show the one that looks photographic. Take a look at post 34. I cropped most everything else out of the big picture to make it easier to spot the cat's face.

Nah, you got it all wrong, Windy! The cat you’re pointing us to is a kitten, and it is leaning against its mother, whose profile you can easily see to the left of the little cutie.
LOL! Kidding, kinda!
Yes, I can really see the “kitten,” the entire thing, as you said, body and all. But I really can see its mother too.
I love this sort of stuff. Thanks so much for pointing it out and giving great instructions for finding the images.
To: Windflier

I can really see the kitten, the entire thing, as you said, body and all. But I really can see its mother too. That didn't pop out at me like the face of the big cat (which really looks like a full grown wild cat). I'll look again.
Did you see post 34 where I cropped the picture to just show the face?

Actually, I’m seeing three cats.
How did you DO that???
My original sighting of the kitten is on the right, and there is another cat in the center, a white kitten with an orange face. Then on the left is a large cat’s profile. The two kittens are in front of the “momma” cat.
This is really a fun picture, Windy! I guess my middle kitten is your original cat, huh? I love this!
To: TheOldLady
I guess my middle kitten is your original cat, huh? I think so. Check the cropped image in post 34. That's the one that looks photographic, and is perfectly symmetrical.
How did you DO that?
How did I crop the image? I just saved the original to my computer, then opened it with MS Paint. There's a cropping tool in there. I then saved that image and posted it.
Glad you're having fun with it :-)

I found what I thought was the cat, but my cat’s head is on top of the bigger cat head. My son found a profile of a cat too.

I found what I thought was the cat, but my cats head is on top of the bigger cat head. My son found a profile of a cat too. Yeah, you can make out different cat's faces here and there in the image, but the one I'm talking about looks like someone superimposed an actual photo of a big cat's face on the picture of the nebula.
See post 34. I cropped the image to only show that one cat's face.
Glad you're enjoying it.
