One of the best brews I ever did was a Blackberry Dunkel-Weizen made with blackberries found on my fencelines. It was pretty rough early on, but after some laagering it smoothed out into a big, creamy thing with rich fruit flavors. It was brewed in late April and was done laagering in October.
