Bill O'Reilly- he's lived everywhere
07-20-2012 | Me

Posted on 07/21/2012 1:33:26 AM PDT by Kevin in California

It's rare that I can stomach this blowhard for an hour straight but is it me or does it seem like this leprecaun has lived in every city, county, state in this country? Seriously, everytime there's an issue at hand that involves any particular state and it's city, O'Reilly has either visited that city/state and/or he's lived there.

Tonight, while talking about the tragedy in Aurora, CO., O'Reilly claimed he lived there for 2 years.

What sane human being moves around as much as O'Reilly claims?

He has worked as a tv news reporter in several cities, including at KMGH-TV in Denver.

Rush Limbaugh, on his way up, also has lived in many cities with many different jobs. Not unusual for people in their business. To be fair, I've heard O’Reilly speak of his Colorado days way before this shooting.

People in broadcast news may move from station to station in their quest for success which may mean finally getting an anchor slot in a big city or a job at a network. When O’Reilly said in lived in Aurora for two years he probably had a two-year contract at a Denver TV or radio station. O’Reilly started out as a high school teacher. This was during the Vietnam War when teachers were exempt from the draft. When Nixon ended military conscription in 1972 O’Reilly left teaching for TV.

And here's a younger Rush broadcasting from beautiful downtown McKeesport, PA circa 1971 while using the name Jeff Christie:

I have, but I admit to having been a drifter for half of my life, something that I may be returning to in a year or two.

He was on the local news here in the 70’s or 80’s—I think a reporter. I was just a kid then so I don’t really remember him, but I’ve heard that before through different sources. One being Denver talk show host Peter Boyles.

I have this idea for a TV show. Flash back to some town in America in the mid-1970s....a youthful Bill O’Reilly, a youthful Rush Limbaugh, and a youthful Karl Rove...all working at the same radio station.

I would have never guessed that the picture above was of Rush Limbaugh.

Bill O'Reilly has already been in a show--he played Ted Baxter in the Mary Tyler Moore Show :) Was Karl Rove a reporter/radio person?

Think Hannity has mentioned living in several different cities as well..would think nature of their profession would cause them to move around, especially in their early years.

Hard to believe that’s the highest paid individual in entertainment.

Give credit where credit is due. Hank Snow did that originally.

Johnny did a nice cover of that tune, but Hank did it best.

I know you don't mean Hank's jacket when you say Johnny did a nice cover - unless he did for laughs while singing a boy named Sue.
