****“From A to Z-Z-Z-Z” and “Boyhood Daze,” two of the greatest Looney Tunes ever made.

Both of these animated shorts from the 1950s are about a boy named Ralph Phillips, who has these extraordinarily amazing daydreams. These are two of the greatest Looney Tunes cartoons ever made. Both were written by Michael Maltese and directed by Chuck Jones.

I fear that if a child acted this way today, he would be put on Ritalin, and have all of his creativity forcefully removed.

Can you count how many “politically incorrect” things there are in these two cartoons?

Chuck Jones’ Bugs Bunny cartoons were the best too.

I remember one where Elmer Fudd was a rich millionaire locked in a mental place for thinking he was a rabbit.

He convinces Bugs Bunny to take his place in his bed, and when the doctors cure ‘him’ you end up with Bugs Bunny thinking he is Elmer Fudd (”Millionaire, I own a Mansion and a Yacht”)

So, At the end, the IRS comes to take Bugs (as Elmer) away for tax evasion... And as he is dragged away he shouts “I'm hunting screwy rabbits”

Then Elmer (as a rabbit) looks at the camera and says “I may be a screwy wabbit, but I'm not going to Alcatwaz”

And the voices were just so funny- you had Bugs Bunny (in bugs bunny voice) imitating Elmer Fudd voice... Mel Blanc was a genious with voices...

It is my favorite cartoon :D

I like the one where Sylvester and his young son are having some quality time together when Sylvester’s mouse hunting ability is called into question, casting doubt on the young cat’s opinion of his father. Then there’s the one where Sylvester thinks a kangaroo is really a mouse...or is that all part of the same cartoon?

Am pretty sure both are. Ralph is voiced by Dick Beals who died recently. Dick never went through puberty so even into adulthood he was 4.5 ft tall, 65 pounds (could fly a plane with modified controls though) and had a boyish voice. Speedy AlkaSeltzer, Davey and Goliath, a cub scout on the Jetsons, etc.

I use the term “educational videos” rather than cartoons for such as these.
