The American Revolution began when the Crown tried to disarm the Colonists.
It will end when the Colonists demand to be disarmed.
Actually there is no reason for cops to have anything more than a revolver and a pump action shotgun. Anything more than that is just encouraging them to act in an irresponsible way which we have no end of examples thanks to the internet.
Well if he is taking up the anti-gun banner, I would consider it a good sign. The guy is a reverse barometer. He is never right.

Yes, there is a reason for MANY Americans to have so-called “semi-automatic” weapons. Have you never fumbled with a bolt-action, and fumbled or even dropped the next round while inserting it?
Makes all the difference when facing an oncoming bear.
When you have no more ammunition, THEN you stop firing.
My idea is that the USA could greatly reduce traffic accidents by banning automatic cars.

Any American that hasn’t been in a coma or asleep for the last 4 years doesn’t need an “excuse” to have an semi-automatic weapon, they have a reason.
There’s no reason for Hollywood to make trillions depicting such violence.

'Reason'? Reason plays no part in this.
The purpose is to control who has guns, and who does not. The first step in a dictatorship is to ensure the ruling elite have the weapons and manpower to control the populace and stop any 'coups'. This is how they do it, all over the world. Because it works.
We are in the midst of it right now. I still say that they will publicly declare a Socialist Dictatorship of the Western Hemisphere on Dec. 21, 2012. The 'end of our world' , as they say.
