Kenneth Peterson arrested on attack on 'Antichrist' neighbor
A Palm Bay man claiming that he was Jesus Christ used a crow bar and another weapon to threaten his neighbor, who he says was the Antichrist, according to police.
Local 6 has confirmed with Palm Bay police that Kenneth David Peterson, 51, was charged with aggravated stalking and aggravated assault on Thursday. Police were called to a home on Charles Boulevard to investigate a disturbance between neighbors.
Police said Peterson was claiming to Jesus Christ and was threatening his neighbor, who he said was the Antichrist. Police said that since February they have responded to the area at least 9 times. Peterson had been suspected of damaging property belonging to a neighbor, resulting in a temporary injunction being issued, according to court records.
Peterson’s next court date is August 16, records show. He is being held on $150,000 bond at the Brevard County Jail.
His confusion is easy to understand. The police have been to his residence so many times that when they arrive they now scream, “Jesus Christ! You again!”
