Unless I’m mistaken, until formally nominated, Obama is as much a presumptive candidate as Romney.
Like a Valkyrie, I see Hilly riding in to Charlotte at 2357hrs to do her patriotic bit to save the country. By acclamation she’ll be drafted to head the Democratic ticket. Perhaps “unprecedented”, such a move may literally prove to be the “fat lady singing’ to Romney. Maybe she’ll even do a shing-a-ling!
Sounds like a good plan, for by 2016, elections will probably be largely for show. However, I doubt we will be allowed to bitch about Obama from our keyboards. He will likely start shutting down opposition websites and targeting Conservatives for the domestic terrorism watch lists and action.

Way before it comes to such a Third Way, the Gents in the back room need to give the boy a talk’n to, set the inviolate conditions of his “lifetime parole.” And the penalties for going off the reservation.
Nothing would surprise me, especially if Obama is still haunting us.

Yep, the President's power to pardon is absolute, and he can issue blanket pardons for any and all acts even if the acts are unknown, and the person has not been investigated or charged.
He can even pardon himself.
However he cannot pardon crimes in violation of any state laws.
