Over an hour ago I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. It STINKS! Now I can't watch embedded videos on Firefox although I can still watch YouTube. Soooo... I would like to uninstall that Flash Player and download a RELIABLE older version. Can anybody provide me the link to such an Adobe Flash Player RELIABLE version?
Thanx in advance.
I am fighting the same mess. Arghhhhhhhhhhh...
taking to my computer gnome Adobe is becoming bloatware. Their are alternatives out their to their entire suite, you’ll have to research it, I can’t find the links....
I checked that but didn’t see an earlier version of Adobe Flash Player.
Use your restore point.
My experience with Adobe is that you have to completely,
COMPLETELY remove any version of Adobe before you try to install a back version.
What version of Winblows r u using???
I tried to download that new version and my PC security system prevented it - due to malware problems. Hundreds of Adobe’s attempts to download and security prevention efforts lasted for weeks. I’m only using the PC for documents - no internet.
I’m running version 10 on Firefox and it hangs up. The audio continues but the video freezes. I installed the latest version of Firefox earlier this week. It runs faster but video under-performs.
Like you, I prefer Firefox. I’ve tried Chrome and other browsers but they aren’t as user friendly, IMO. Also, I use the Firefox DownloadHelper to download videos from YouTube and other sites, and it’s not available on other browsers. I’ve found it to be the best, most widely compatible video down-loader.
WOO! HOO! That worked beautifully! I restored my computer to 8/26 and now I can see the embedded videos just fine. I don't know what bells and whistles the new Adobe Flash Player has but I am satisfied with the current version. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
This happened to me in April with their update. My husband took off the new Adobe and I think restored an older version. Apparently, they update quarterly. I’m still using a version from 2 updates ago.
Then restore back to the date when you knew Adobe Flash was running smoothly.
You would think Adobe would test out their new versions on Firefox before making them available. Yeah, I also had problems with the April version.
Firefox and Flash have not played nice together since FF 12 and Fl 10.
Firefox’s rapid release insanity creates more problems than it solves. I have lost several add-ons, because the creators say they are tired of trying to come out with new releases every other month just to be compatible with the next new Firefox.

Google this for a list of numerous archive sites:
‘download older version of flash’
Also, there is a flash uninstaller [google for it] that you would need to run.
Since you ‘restored’ just be sure to NOT install the latest Flash if/when you reboot.
If you have auto-install for flash, you may be revisited with this problem.
Check these ‘help’ files regarding auto-update:
