I am better off - much better off. But that is how things go. Most people are better off as time passes even if there is a recession.

I am not. Dodd-Frank has hurt investments of mine. Obamacare threatens the freedom of my grandchildren. I am unemployed.

I’m still employed, which is a lot better than about 23 million of us; however, I have a job now only because a former supervisor found a place to move me after changes took place, so now I’m in a job I hate with a vitriolic passion, a job I didn’t ask for and never applied for, watching a career and an education go down the toilet. To top it off those of us in the office still will have jobs, but the plant shuts down soon.

I am a great deal better off - but then, B. Hussein Obama had not one damned thing to do with it: it was in spite of him, and I’d be better off still without that noxious fraud.

Well you wait until we get closer to the election. There will be more of these “Are you better off than four years ago polls?”. Four years ago in Oct/Nov the Dow was 8800 or so and now it is 13000. When this same poll is conducted in October there will be almost nobody who relies on investments for their income that can honestly say they are worse off now.

I know that the DOW is a leading indicator for the economy - in other words the drop in the Dow around October was partly due to the fact that the market anticipated that the Commie would beat McCain (who wasn’t much better than the Commie). So these polls are all smokescreens.

I am better off then 4 years ago but really the question should be is “Is America better off than 4 years ago?” Many people work hard and are not affected by what a President does. The ones having trouble are probably the ones lazy and rely on the government to help them. 99 weeks is over by now.

Voted!

Remember that CNN’s audience has a fairly large proportion of unemployed deadbeats, and since they’re living off the taxes that we working folks pay, they may well be better off. Unemployment in the US has become a somewhat lucrative option these days.
