What is the bumper sticker situation in your state? (Here in MA, O stickers are down 90% from '08)

Here's what my lying eyes are telling me here in occupied Massachusetts.

Four years ago every tenth car had an Obama sticker.

Today, I see one or two Obama stickers a day. (And one or two Romney stickers.) I spend 2 hours commuting each day.

So the Obama bumper sticker count in Massachusetts is down by AT LEAST 90%. That's telling. Enthusiasm is WAY down.

What is the bumper sticker count like elsewhere?

I think bumper stickers are a great bellweather.

Favorite bumper sticker on an SUV in Texas: A pic of Obama with “Does this ass make my car look big?”

I don’t promote any candidates but I do have some anti Bammy bumper stickers for sale along with some other conservative sentiments.

Here in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, it’s roughly equal, with maybe a slight tip toward Romney.

The only "Obama" sticker I've seen is this one on a pickup down the street.

The one that has "Rodriguez" in old English letters on the back window.

I’m in Liberal Minneapolis Minnesota, and the majority of the bumper stickers are still Obama (I’ve only seen about one Romney one), but I’d agree, there’s probably about 90% fewer bumper stickers and yard signs this year.

I see lots of yard signs for local candidates but none for Romney or Obama.

Yard signs are a good barometer as well.
Brown/Warren on the North Shore are a slight edge to Brown.
Tierney /Tisei I’d say 70/30 Tisei.

As you well know Obama will win in MA.

I saw that one on a truck in NJ! I live in the rural part of the state and only have seen about ten ocraphead stickers. I see tons of anti-ocraphead stickers, though and some plain old Mitt stickers. My phone current fave says “I am not racist, I hate Biden, too”.

Mentioned this topic on a thread yesterday. Have yet to see a single Romney or Obama ‘12 bumper-sticker on any car yet. Been keeping my eyes peeled for a first sighting. It’s mind-blowing, compared to previous election seasons, as by this time (post-conventions), I should be seeing multiple dozens of examples. But nada. Nothing.

I’ve always monitored the bumper-sticker thing, for decades, as a little way to gauge things in my vicinity. It’s just never been like this before.

I live in the very left-wing part of Grand Rapids, MI. This place, along with the “we’re rich but feel so guilty about it” suburb of East Grand Rapids routinely votes the opposite of the rest of the county.

How many have I seen? Few. Most of them say Obama/Biden 08. They are leftovers from last time for sure.

Any new ones will say 2012 with the 0 being the Obama logo.

I seen less than 15 over the course of the summer. Few if any yard signs.

This area was the epicenter for Obamamania in 2008. The local Rat HQ was near me and they had an army there. Hell they even lit off fireworks on election night (gag).

Now it’s eerily bare. i guess that’s what 4 years of Hop-n-Crap does to you.

In Richmond, Va Obama stickers are way down. Romney yard signs are way up from the McCain signs 4 years ago.

Another great “bell weather” sign for an Obama voter if they have no Obama sticker but they have “Buy Fresh Buy Local”, Coexist”, “Save Tibet” or “Eracism” among others. That’s a sure liberal lunatic. They’re still going to vote for him but are a little miffed by him.

Global warming...it makes the stickers deteriorate prematurely.

[With tongue in cheek] One does have to figure in the number of people who have lost jobs in the Obama Economy and had their cars repossessed. Given that african-americans are "enjoying" unemployment rates of about 25%, but voted 98% for Obama, there could be an disproportionate effect.

However, those folks will still vote for Obama - as long as someone can pick them up and take them to the polls.

I haven’t put a sign out or a bumper sticker on my car because of vandalism. I think many Obama supporters are out of control and I don’t need the headache.
