New poll shows Scott Brown in lead (49% to 45%...LV)

There have been several polls released recently, showing everything from a virtual dead heat to Elizabeth Warren ahead by low single digits.

This was a contrast to pre-DNC polls, which showed Brown ahead by low single digits. Clearly Warren received a convention bounce, almost entirely from increased support from Democrats.

Warren supporters in the left-blogosphere have all but declared victory. The question, however, was whether Warren’s convention bounce would last.

A U.Mass-Lowell/Boston Herald poll released tonight indicates that perhaps Warren’s lead is not so clear, or that her bounce has faded. Brown is up 50-44 among registered voters and 49-45 among likely voters:

There aren't a lot of Indians in Massachusetts. But if the dead Indians can vote, who knows?

Brown is an absolute lock in this race.

He understands Reagan Democrats and Independent Pro-Abortion Women, the twin pillars of his majority.

When the Dems failed to beat him with an icy white bi*ch, they doubled down. He could lose to a Kennedy (and may in 2018), or possibly to a union guy like Steve Lynch, but Martha Coakley v 2.0?

Forget it.

After the 2010 vote, when not a single Republican won office (excluding Browns special election in January) I have become convinced that it was a fluke for our current Senator to have won.

My neighbors are simply too indoctrinated to the Ds.

Brown is going down.

54% vote in the Senate would be better than 0% which is what Warren will provide.

I know someone making calls for the Brown campaign. They have been calling Independents and Democrats.

This person tells me their experience is that Brown will win the independents by a huge margin, and will even do OK among the Dems.

While nothing this far out is a lock, unless he is found in bed with a little boy, I think he is OK.

Of course, this is MA. If he is found in bed with a little boy it might just boost his cause. (I am kidding of course.)

Just donated $50 to Scott Brown’s re-election. Worth every penny to see a tear roll down a high cheekbone on election night.

While I was discouraged by the 2010 mid-terms in Massachusetts, I don't see Brown losing this race. The aging Elizabeth Warren hippies have been holding signs on street corners but it is Brown signs that are popping up in yards all across the state.

Scott Brown resonates with working class voters here (mostly Democrat) while Warren leaves them cold. While hardly a conservative, like you say, it's better to have a senator who votes with us only half the time (Brown) then one that will vote with us zero percent of the time (Warren)

Look. Kennedy had the seat for 30 years. Let’s not give it back after 2. If he and Mittens wins he will be in deep dudu 6 years down the road when Mittens is in his 2nd term(history). In 6 years he can do a lot of back stabbing within his own party. Should he lose in 6 years it will be like Chafee-good riddence. Let’s just give him (another)chance.

This is encouraging news...

Was there a Brown vs Warren debate tonight? I saw (after the fact unfortunately) that this event is listed on Scott's "Brown Brigade" site:

http://brownbrigade.ning.com/events/event/listUpcoming

I live in CT near the MA border, but was hoping to see Sen. Brown debate LIEawatha via C-SPAN. Do you know when / if there will be any other debates?

Thanks so much, raccoonradio!

D'oh, of course September 20th is tonight... I didn't miss the debate (had my dates mixed up I guess).

No, unfortunately I can't pick up WBZ where I live in CT. I'll check their website to see if it will be streamed live, and I'll also check to see if C-SPAN will run the debate live.
