“Yeah, me too with the head cold.”

Speaking of...I had mine since last Tuesday (9th day today). It’s mostly upper respiratory congestion now but so bad the first 3 days, I called in sick to work the 3rd day (the first 2 days of it I was off). I’m thinking I picked it up from my grandkids and they got it from someone having recently returned to school for the fall semester. A lot of people at my work have it also.

It is interesting to see that it is widespread.

This thread yesterday had some interesting information...especially 2 links from PA Engineer (post#33)...they are my 2nd & 3rd links...

Thanks for the ping. A couple of frightening links:

Five suspected of contracting SARS-like virus

PANDEMIC FLU INFORMATION FORUM:Monitoring Other Disease Outbreaks

The coronavirus is now in the wild. We need to pay attention to this one.

In terms of its epidemiology, the mean and median incubation periods have been estimated to be six days (1,7) and four days (8), respectively. In household transmission studies (9), cases occurred a maximum of 10 to 14 days after exposure. Overall, 95% of patients developed illness within 14.2 days of exposure (7). The mean and median duration of symptoms before hospitalization were three to six days (7,8).

Work your way up gradually to two or three grams of Vitamin C every day. Take echinacea, widely available at drug stores, and a
B multivitamin, and you will slash your incidence of catching colds to the bone. I haven't had a cold for at least seven years, and my
Hubby is similarly armed against the pestilence at his job where at least a dozen people (out of 115) are working sick at any given
time.

Best wishes knocking your viruses down. Linus Pauling was right. Vitamin C works, and it will be as good as gold when TSHTF,
along with fish oil capsules and other really helpful vitamins and supplements.

</tangent - sorry Laz!>
