Obama supporter Christie Setzer on Fox. News item: Romney ahead of Obama by up to 20 points among veterans and military families in four key swing states. Her explanation:

1. Most military and vets are white men (a twofer: Romney supporters are racists and anyway they hate women).

2. Anyway, Romney isn't really ahead. It's a Fox lie.

I wish the left would make up its mind. Either the Military is mostly white and racist, so it won't vote for the big O. Or we need a draft as most of the Military is poor blacks who join as they can't find a job, and the draft would make it fair. It's a volunteer force. Conservatives volunteer because their culture respects military service, and knows there are numerous foreign threats to this country.

There aren't that many liberals in the military because they don't respect military service. They would rather surrender than fight. The only Corps they respect is the Peace Corps.

My wife and I are Jewish. She tells me that I am one of only two Jewish man she knows who volunteered for the military. I have only one other on my side of the family*. Most of my generation of fellow American Jews are, frankly, self-centered pricks.

* does not include my Jewish friends who joined the Guard to avoid active duty during Vietnam
