I Want Everybody To Look At This Week's 'NEWSWEEK':

Posted on 10/02/2012 12:25:24 PM PDT by Vinylly

I was at the check-out counter at our local grocery store and I was shocked at what I saw on the cover of 'NEWSWEEK': It had a picture of Obama with a caption reading 'Obama, the Democrats Reagan'. What???, this is an outrage!!!! What an insult to America and the name of Ronald Reagan!!! These two people are 180 degrees apart. Ronald Reagan was pro-business, pro-freedom, pro-democracy, and pro-America. Obama is anti-business, pro-socialist, anti-America, with Government controling our lives. Newsweek in absolutely clueless. Their caption should have read: 'Obama, the d'RAT's Carter' If Newsweek was truthful and honest, their caption should have read; 'Romney, the Republican's Reagan'.

Newsweek in absolutely clueless.

They're not clueless. They know exactly what they're doing.

Newsweek and all of the liberal media are trying to sell something that otherwise would not sell well in the market of politics and opinions.

There will be millions of people who are not paying attention, and many of those will not know what Obama stands for, but, comparing him to popular and very likeable figures in history, will make Obama more palatable.

Crap like this is why Newsweak was sold for $1. You probably couldn’t get that today.

Not outraged but amused. In all probability, Obama is the Democrats Reagan - since Obama is the best they can do . . .

Obama has never known a patriotic moment in his entire life. Nor would he know an 'altruistic' thought; if it hit him, broadside. Won't happen; cannot happen. Reagan was a great American; Obama is a traitor.

If anyone here; 'still' has a subscription. . .think about what you can do.

Absolutely sickening. (Whenever shipping at 'Books a Million'; they always ask about subscriptions to these desperate magazines. Say no; and let them hear; every time; why NOT.)

What freaking fools-for-Obama; they are. This media the most 'useful of idiots' ever.

I find it incomprehensible that anyone could listen to Obama or look at his agenda and feel anything but revulsion. The really frightening thing about Obama is that 28% of Americans claim to strongly approve of Obama's performance in our White House. I suspect those people look on Obama with emotions similar to ours when we recall Reagan. The lost souls in that 28% are the real threat to America.

We need a leader who can communicate with them and help them again to see the value of individual freedom (NOT the collectivist version that Obama is peddling), which used to make America a shining city on a hill and a beacon for freedom lighting the way for the rest of the world. Some of those 28% are, no doubt, simply evil. They want the power over others that socialism in all its variants provides to insiders. Most, however, are simply deluded, and we need a leader who can help them to see the light. I hope the leader with that potential is ready for her role soon.

What’s most distressing is that there is no conservative or even unbiased news weekly, on the stand, to counteract. This is the Columbia School of Journalism echo effect. It is having less and less impact as independents get political influence from a variety of sources now.

Even when Romney is sworn in these anti American communists will still, for years to come, create hit pieces on him. Nothing will stop these hard core communists.

The article is by Andrew Sullivan.

American history for him begins in 1984, when he crossed the Atlantic to go to Harvard's Kennedy School.

He's not up on Americana, and doesn't have many analogies to choose from, so he goes with what he knows.

FWIW, Andrew was ineligible for citizenship because he had AIDS. With changes in the immigration law (and gay marriage) he's on track now, so he's got reasons for loving Obama.
