Bristol Palin can’t dance and acts like a spoiled brat (see:her fake fight with Mark).
She has no passion, shows little emotion and she chews gum on the set! :-)
Love Mama G. but her offspring is sure to get booted tomorrow night in the double..and rightfully so.

I hope you’re right, SHF.

Shawn and Derek’s routine was fantastic tonight. Julio and Emmitt seem to have lost something this time around.
The soap opera star, Sabrina and Melissa R. are annoying.
Kirstie is fun but she can’t dance.
So I think it’ll be between Shawn and Gilles with Apolo third.

This is a conservative site, many of us consider the Palins and the media something worth keeping up with, like you, we clicked on this thread.

Bristol is a national pro-life/abstinence spokeswoman, and her public success matters to her cause and our cause.

DWTS reaches the key demographics on those issues and keeps her public profile high, it also helps her make a living, at 21 she has to work.

If you want people to vote for her it would be nice if you told us how. Things like the number to dial....

MEOW...you sound like one angry lady, Bristol is a good 21 year old woman and evidently good enough to be called back after her great success before.

Isn’t this the All-Stars or something?

“Bristol is a national pro-life/abstinence spokeswoman”

I understand her pro-life stance, but who made her an abstinence spokeswoman? Lol

Bristol did respectably but she is not among the best on the show. It is just too tough this season.

I love Shawn Johnson BUT I don’t like that she purposely broke the rules. Dance was great but I just don’t like that she thought it was necessary. On the other hand, Sabrina ( I think) said she just couldn’t do break the rules even though her partner was suggesting such. I find that admirable in this day and time.

I have had it with Carrie Ann as a judge. She has always been really hard on people breaking the rules and with Shawn, she warned her but gave her a 9?!! Just shut up about breaking the rules next time!

That said it is just a show and it probably would be better for Bristol to go onto her future somewhere else.

Is that the adult, conservative, pro-life, pro abstinence person in you laughing?

Bristol had sex with her high school sweetheart and became pregnant during her mother’s campaign of 2008, she carried her baby to term and became a spokeswoman for the importance of teen abstinence.

“In May 2009, at age 18, Palin worked with The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy to inform young people about the negative consequences of teenage pregnancy. The campaign’s spokesman, said that working with Palin made sense, because “she’s had the highest-profile teen pregnancy of the year.”

“Several interviews and pictorials for similar organizations followed. Also in May 2009 Palin was named a Teen Pregnancy Prevention Ambassador for the Candie’s Foundation.”

“Her duties as a paid spokeswoman involved attending town hall meetings, public service announcements, and giving interviews on morning talk shows.”

I don’t watch it, I couldn’t watch it if I wanted to, without signing up for television, but it sure stirs strong emotions and reactions from you, judging by your participation on this DWTS thread.

Those who insist they’re obliged to vote for the most technically skilled dancer on the show are missing the bigger picture.

This ain’t the Olympics. (If it were, a TV audience composed of amateurs sure as heck wouldn’t be voting at all.)

It’s an entertainment show.

As such, it’s part of the culture wars.

You’re free to vote for whomever you like best, for whatever reasons.

Competing against mostly show biz pros who have backgrounds involving dance or who are star athletes, Bristol has done amazingly well.

She represents something much better and more important than dance technique. She’s a conservative, a Christian and a fighter who’s stood up remarkably well under an avalanche of vicious attacks including death threats. I think she’s said she’ll likely enter politics some day, and right now she’s learning courage under fire. She has character. She promotes conservative values including teen abstinence. She’s had the courage to admit her mistakes and to urge teens to learn from that. She’s spoken out against liberalism.

She’s clearly the underdog on a show that has often featured and promoted the dregs of liberalism.

Remember, it’s just an *entertainment* show. It’s part of the culture wars. If you want to vote, vote for your favorite - for whichever contestant you think merits your support - and for whatever reasons matter most to you.

Not angry...just truthful. Bristol is a TERRIBLE dancer and not much better in the personality department.

I voted for Bristol tonight(Both online and by cell phone) I feel for her. She gets trashed by the liberals for being a Conservative and because she’s Sarah Palin’s daughter..Bristol tries very hard to dance the very best she can..and she did great tonight but STILL gets the lowest scores, and its done on purpose so that she gets kicked off the show. Last week they gave her the lowest score too and we all came to her defense and she made it, and she will make it again too

I thought Bristol did this gig a year or so ago. Whatever possessed her, to do it again?

Yet she does so well, and you do indeed seem angry. You seem to have something against her, yet she is only 21, and she does so much good.

I doubt that they will let Bristol go so soon. They only brought her back on because of the ratings she brings with her. If she goes, the audience goes.
