A bus driver told a 12 year-old student that he should have been aborted because his family had a Romney-Ryan sign in their yard.
The child attends a Catholic school in New Berlin. He rides a Durham school bus. The company also provides service to the New Berlin public school district.
Apparently, the Romney-Ryan yard sign bugs the bus driver and she’s been harassing the boy, making rude comments to him related to politics.
When the driver engaged the 12-year-old boy in a political conservation, he responded by saying that Obama is pro-abortion.
The bus driver allegedly said to the child, “Maybe your mom should have chosen abortion for you.”
Understandably, this really upset the boy. Other kids on the bus verified the boy’s account and are providing written statements.
The mom made her son’s school aware of the situation. She also went to Durham School Service in New Berlin and spoke to Michael Bennett, the manager.

Can we back up just a minute? I get what the driver said to the child was in poor taste etc etc.
However, why the Hell isn’t anyone asking why a 78 year old is driving a bus full of children? This to me seems much more dangerous and actionable than curmudgeonly political assaults. Surely I’m no the only person who read this story and thinks that this is an incredibly bad idea?

She sounds like she’s an ignoramus if she did not know about that part of Mitt’s history. It’s a scream how liberals who would agree with 80% of Mitt’s past policies view Mitt as the next worst thing to Attila the Hun.
I was raised as a democrat and during high school I had a very good teacher, who happened to be a republican. Well, around the election of my senior year I drove around and collected about 100 dem campaign signs. I stuck them all in the yard right outside of his class room’s windows! I was able to beat him to the class room and close all of the shades.
So, when he started class someone asked him why the shades were closed and so he opened them! He immediately knew it was me and we both got a good laugh about it.
Outside of knowing about the laws I had broken, it was a good natured interaction between both of us. It is really sickening how the left is so filled with hate today.
She was wrong on a lot of counts. First, you can’t pick your family. Second, why talk politics to children who can’t vote? Third, she is wishing death on this kid because someone living in his house disagrees with her politics. I know that if this kid or any part of his family dies, this woman would be ecstatic. It’s amazing how one person’s ignorance can be so harmful much less millions.

Even in the heat of the moment, unless the conservative kid had wished her dead (quite unlikely) there isn’t any way to explain why she’d say something like that other than that she was badly, badly wrong.
At what point does it become commonly accepted wisdom that if you are a Democrat there is a good chance you are mentally ill?

In the article it references that this particular student was using the bussing service to get to the private Catholic school. I would wager that this 12 year old is much better behaved than the typical brats.
Some Catholic nuns can be pretty looey liberal. But still.
This is the second one in as many weeks -- the other one being the girl that was harassed by her geometry teacher for wearing a Romney/Ryan T-shirt. The teacher apologized, BTW -- before the entire school.
Is it because the ones perpetrated by the right aren't reported? Or because it just isn't reported here on FR?
If a conservative were to pull a stupid stunt like this, you'd better believe that it would get reported on every mainstream media outlet, and probably for days on end. Such an incident would certainly be discussed here.
In order to be a leftist, you must have loads of hubris, believing not only that you're right, but that you know the ultimate "truth," and the people with whom you disagree aren't just wrong, but evil. So it's not enough to just have a political discussion, but they drop straight into the gutter and try to destroy their opponents.
Plus, it seems that this moron bus driver, ostensibly an adult, simply couldn't have a rational discussion with a pre-teen. Again, typical leftist.

If I was the school district... I'll tell the bus company that they do not need to do the service for us..
